Yeah I did this fight in the mod a few days ago. Absolutely brutal, didn't prepare at all and barely won with a single character with 5 hp alive. Ended up burning nearly all my potions

in normal game, can't fight with this dragon...this is minus for bg3 we cant fight with dragons...it't good for us, last patch give modding and bg3 needs fight's with dragons, like in bg2 or bg1

Berserker barbarian with a Returning Pike can clear that fight fairly easily from the cliff by three bridge. 👍

Did you know you can use reckless attack as a reaction? Just swing at the enemy, if you miss then reckless attack will ask if you want to use it as a reaction, rerolling the dice once, that way if you're lucky you can skip the disadvantage part without using reckless attack.

​@LordKingCobra Well, no, not really. Regular attack rolls one die, you miss, then you use reckless attack and get advantage, meaning you roll a second die. In both cases you roll two die, and while you get a slightly higher chance of getting a crit when comparing a normal single roll, you also automatically give the opponent advantage on attacks against you. On the other hand, you can keep your slightly lower crit chance for no advantage against you and if you miss, you reroll anyways and get the same odds you would've had in the beginning.

Don't talk to the Gith, finish the under dark, most of the shadow (don't enter the tower or free the Nightsong yet), part of the mountain pass (do the kobold part but do not enter the creche), then go back to Act 1 as level 7 and attack. No mods needed.

Is this on an easier difficulty? I'm playing on balanced and saw the dragon as lvl 10, while the General guy was level 12. I noped out of that so fast and just did the regular dialog haha Or do their levels scale as you complete more quests? At this point, I already cleared the goblin camp, found the underdark entrance, killed the spider queen, murdered the hag, etc.

I mean, this fight looks way more interesting than the one against Ansur. No action economy bullshit by just spamming grunts along with a boss that charges headfirst and forces you to kill it. Since this one is a legitimately hard fight with its counterattacks. Plus it proves why most caster classes are garbage when dealing with a real enemy. I cannot imagine gale lasting this long…most likely he’ll get roasted

Casters are generally some of the most invaluable part members in the game, they are just hard to use/require good preparation and tend to not be good in early levels, but the setups you can pull with them are incredible.

Yeah the reward sucks. I think it is so bad because the dragon is not meant to be slayed. It is not just like a boss of some certain quest or so. They probably wanted to avoid, that people just slay him for items. I also killed the dragon and was disappointed :D
