How can I get these new presets that I've previewed to sound as good as they do in the video? When I start it, there's a lot of hum noise happening through the speakers (I have a Epiphone Les Paul).

@@chopholtz4950 There's a very slight low mid cut @ 342 hz on the "I Remember Andy" track but other than that there's no mixing on the guitar tracks at all - just the presets themselves. There's also a touch of bus compression and high shelf EQ on the master bus but that's it.

What’s the best way to connect my guitar to a computer for this? Rock smith cable or RIFF? Also.. why doesn’t sound come through headphones when I plug into 3.5mm port in my MacBook 😅

I believe your headphones have to be connected to the headphone output of your interface, not your macbook

The Cab emulation uses almost 25% of CPU load on it's own. Where other high level amp modelers (sgear, thu, amplitube) uses 10 times less. Not reasonable...

Would you say there are better ones out there then as I've only used Bias FX2 and find I have the issue that high gain amps have a lot of annoying hiss that in the video does not.

@@chopholtz4950 not at all. My computer is a pretty, high power I9 from 2022. I use the amp simulation plus several vst fx and midi synths inside gig performer. I'm just saying it's unusable for me where SGEAR, THU, AMPLITUBE, TONEX are extremely efficient with cpu. All that because the cab simulation. If you bypass the cab, the CPU usage is drastically reduced. Not a good thing. By the way, I've tested (and bought) all that software, all excellent sounding, and the most CPU efficient is OVERLOUD THU (2% cpu load) and IK TONEX (3% cpu load). Follows SGEAR 3 (4%) and AMPLITUBE (6 -7%). All that numbers with my Intel I9 12900H reported by GIG PERFORMER 4 . I have to say that using BIAS AMP with bypassed cab and

@@chopholtz4950 ...and for live situations 100% cpu usage is not useable. Guitar sounds plus efx plus synths in real-time playing, more than 40% CPU in total is dangerous (possible digital clicks) if you want to keep the asio latency low enough. Of course, if you increase the buffer, you can go further, but the latency makes real time play not possible

Is 2023 to really go down without BIAS EVH or Gilmour? That's a bummer. C'mon, guys! BIAS Hendrix was awesome, but lets not stop there! More to the reason to continue with artist collections!

@@chopholtz4950 Did I say artists work for free? I did not, so there is no point in bringing that up. Is Hendrix estate not crazy rich already? They are. And yet, BIAS Hendrix pack was made by Positive Grid. Not a problem if EVH estate does the same, they sell lots of things related to Eddie now, they even sell his guitars after his death. I'm sure they won't say no if PD contacts them about modeling old EVH amps and pedals and pays them for it. And if Marty Friedman, who is obsessed with big paychecks and is used to them in Japan (he even rejected Megadeth reunion, because he wanted more money), could be seen advertising for Positive Grid a few years back, so can be Gilmour. I don't think David is obsessed with money, anyway. In 2019 he sold almost all his guitars, even his original Black Strat, for 21 million $ and gave it all to charity. Greedy people don't do this. So again, your argument is invalid. PD and Gilmour could arrange a deal where a significant % of his pack sales would go to his charity. I can't imagine he'd say no to that. And needless to say, Gilmour's pack will sell like hot cakes, so while it won't be 21 million, it will still be a very decent sum. The most important question is whether Positive Grid could handle modeling of Gilmour's gear, because there are quite a few intricate devices he used, like Yamaha RA-200 rotary cabinet, custom Doppola rotary speakers, his custom Pete Cornish pedals and all sorts of stuff. They would also need to study his various setups and routing, which is another topic entirely.
