Today I learned that in Roman law if a person was adopted they are considered a whole now person and it they had debts they are completely eradicated absolved... Hence Paul's mention of it in Ephesians chapter 1

For large print fans, I recently purchased an NLT Inspire Faith Bible which they offer in large 10.5 font, single column, big 3.5" margins, and its filament enabled. There is also the NLT Inspire Prayer Bible which has Giant 13 point font, single column, and wide almost 4" margins. Both of these include design/colored vellums and about 400 scattered pictures to color. I covered some of the pictures over and just took notes in the margins. So far its working great!

Faith-would love to know how you approach extra resources as you go through your GBRP each year. In episodes past you mention using a new commentary each year. Is this how you approach it, a different one each year or if your reading say Matthew 1 do you pull out every single resource you have on that passage and read through?

I just found you! I have a Living Bible that was given to me in 1995 when we had a house fire, the church bought our family new bibles. Now one of adult daughters told me that I need an NIV, but I like having a concordance so my new NIV bible is easily 3 inches thick….my old bible haves millions of notes, and highlighted things and I have sooo many sticky notes where I didn’t have enough room to write! I’m so overwhelmed by thought of switching and it would keep me from continuing a studying. What do you think? My living bible has a broken biding there is so much! I’m almost 70 would I ever finish? The church I grew up in was a brethren church… biblical verses I was given about woman preaching over men Titus 1:5-7. 1 Timothy 3:1-7 1 Corinthians 14:33-38 1 Timothy 2:11-4. These are verses about a woman’s part in the church that I grew up with. No judging, just something to read.

My daughter had a Bible that was falling apart. We sent it and had it rebound so that all of her notes were intact and they also were able to insert all of the extra pages she had stuffed in it as well. I know the Bible that Faith uses every day is one that she had rebound so that she did not have to redo all of her notes.

My main 2 translations are NIV 2011 & NRSV. ESV is not recommended by Biblical scholars & translators since there are many mistranslations that bend meaning towards specific denominational traditions. (I did a deep dive on this & ESV is highly problematic.)

Faith, if your self-defined high standards to do YT 'Bible Study' videos is holding you back from doing more, consider changing the wording to reflect a less intense video. Maybe a series of videos you call "Let's Visit the Book of ___" or "Luke 4, At A Glance", as an example. Neither of those titles suggest a deep-dive or all-encompassing 'study', rather a summary or a reading discussion.

I wasn't able to watch it live because it was late at night here. Now I am rewatching it and... ❤😊 Extremely wholesome content! Update: About what Faith has mentioned about Bibles, she is 10000% on point. I finally got my hands on my very first Bible about a month ago and it has been SUCH a blessing even though it is a cheap, basic bare bones, large print one, costing me the equivalent of maybe LESS THAN TWO WATERED DOWN STARBUCKS COFFEES! 😊 I won't lie to you when I say it has been THE VERY BEST INVESTMENT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! So, my point is, it is the WORD, the fact that you are storing it in your mind, that cuts you and perfects you! The binding and all that superficial stuff is secondary. Feed yourself the Word and don't be ashamed if you can't afford a high-quality Bible from the get-go. Update 2: Faith, I would love to visit and read your Cliff Notes on the different books of the Bible for context. That will definitely help me better understand what I read. So far, all I have been doing is reading and waiting on the Holy Spirit to lead me into all Truth. (NOTE TO SELF: Faith's Webpage mentioned towards the end of minute 38:00)
