Yeah, that was pretty brutal, alongside, "Yeah, he beat Medicare all right. He beat it to death." It's sad, but it's hard to be sympathetic when so many brought this on themselves, ironically, because beating Trump was all that matter.

@@princejellyfish3945yeah, seriously, if anything, when I compare the best comedies of the 20s-40s vs the best today I’m actually of the opinion that comedy has seriously devolved as an art form. Keaton’s movies have legitimately beautiful cinematography with jaw dropping stunts, large, cinematic setpieces and plots and jokes that build together throughout the whole movie; The General is essentially 1920s Fury Road but a comedy. Judd Apatow movies by comparison, which were considered the height of comedy much more recently, is the most basic ass “just point the camera” and shoot movie. It’s barely cinema, barely directed, just lightly edited improv.

To Felix's point about Trump not going in for the knockout punch, that conforms to my theory about Trump's uniqueness being that he always somehow finds the series or behaviors which don't satisfy anyone, supporters and detractors alike. @deathmagneto-soy The job of a president is primarily to communicate the things his experts are enacting. That's why Regan was so popular, and he was a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Stewart is a communicator (just look at his time defending veterans in Congress). Sanders has been correct in his positions for 40 years (something Segregation Joe can't say. If that's too long ago, it's something Genocide Joe can't say either - not that he's capable of saying much of anything once the sun sets these days.) Sanders has decades of government experience and is a good communicator in his own right. Is it so strange to imagine Bernie being the straight man talking policy while Stewart ruthlessly turns Trump's campaign into "The Producers"? (I want a full-on musical production of 'Spring Time In Manhattan'. That's a pipe dream, but so is saying we live in a democracy. Our owners (the 1,000 billionaires Joe mentioned) prefer the market stability of Biden, but they know they'll still make money under Trump. The only thing that MIGHT challenge their strangle hold would be an actual progressive. They have to block that at all costs. Just look at 2016 and 2020. They would risk losing rather than allow Bernie (the clear front runner during both primaries) to run.

Why Biden shouldn't step down: 1. Biden has the name recognition 2. He has the incumbency 3. He has the fund raising no one else can do at this point except Kamala who would inherit his fundraising if he stepped down in favor of her (but you all hate her and we all know she has less a chance to win at the top of the ticket and is better as the back up in case Biden dies in office) 4. He has the Obama/Biden turnout machine and 5. Donald Trump turned his entire GOTV effort over to Charlie Kirk's Turning Points USA. As long as this election is within 5 or so points, Biden will win based on the ground game alone, especially against the unproven and incompetent Turning Points USA and Trump family led RNC. Unless Biden or Trump tank 10, 15 points below the other and stay there, which isn't happening in this electorate no matter how badly they look on stage, its a toss up down to turn out on and before election day and we all know the Dems dominate that position and have for years. They're winning special elections by double digits. The state by state level races will have a lifting effect on Biden on election day. Stay firm. Now is the time not for backbiting, but fighting. Fighting like hell. You may not like the candidate, but we are voting for an administration and to stop Trump stacking the Courts even more and to stop project 2025. So now is the time to fight for the administration you want, not the perfect mythical candidate you wish we had. Stop letting the perfect be the enemy of the sufficient. Biden kept alive by a feeding tube and an iron lung and the sacrifices of 1000 Psykers a day is preferable to a Trump re election. Next election cycle though, the Dems need to come with someone younger or they WILL lose to the next GOP candidate after Trump.

"1,000 people dying a day is an acceptable price for a Biden victory" hmmm yes, very normal and sensible political opinions, please print them out and read them aloud to your family and co-workers

biden is a bumbling, geriatric genocidaire. if he's the best hope america has, that says a lot about america. i think i'm gonna write in jimmy carter. he may be senile too, but at least he can admit israel is an apartheid state.

I actually read this - I can’t believe that people are this dumb (while being able to read and write at something like an adult level), it’s genuinely painful
