Wrong Turn I agree with you 100% about the look of the modern movies. T1 and T2 encapsulated the perfect grim look for both the future war and the cyborgs. Just enough CGI was used in T2 to make it look respectable. Unfortunately the trend in modern films is to use as much crappy cgi as possible to wow dumb kids. There's nothing that can be done about that. But in terms of paying homage to T1 and T2, it did do a better job than T3 and Salvation.
@FXHumungus8 жыл бұрын
southlondon86 Hehe true.. true. :) And you make a good point as well. Classic is still on the top, but the days are different now... but still if i see movies like Mad Max Fury Road, then i'm all okay again. :P
This is James Cameron resumes it all! I'm sad there will never be any director like him with so much love for the cinema and the audience, his perfectionism proves it all. T2 is easily the best sequel in cinema history. Titanic: 11 oscars, the CGI in Avatar is the realistic i've ever see... what else to say?

You are SO right! Nowadays, movies are packed with shitty looking CGI effects. It's like watching a computer game instead of a movie. If this movie would have a remake in 2018, no real real explosions, the terminators would have been fake etc. etc. The 80's and 90's were the best.

Yup, crews actually worked their ass off with make up, props and stop motion very little if any cgi. Over all, older films such as t2 have remained classics because they are very much real and well made in terms of production. I can't say the same for new movies over saturated with cgi, I just can't get the thrill.

***** It depends. The T-1000 was cool and all, but Arnold's T-800 was much more intimidating. It also had a certain "feel" of tenacity: while the T-X and the T-1000 are almost completely impervious to firearms, the T-800 is not, but shrugs it off anyway. Also, believe it or not, the T-800 is superior at ranged combat - unlike the T-1000, he does not jump and fall like a wimp when hit by a shotgun. In fact, the T-1000 is severely impaired when shot at, since it's molecular structure always puts regeneration first. The T-800, on the other hand, is a natural badass, moving forward no matter what. Bonus points for scary Endoskeleton.

Never thought of it like that before, when James Cameron "Terminators don't fight Terminators, hasn't happened before" going into new territory like that, I think he pulled that scene off perfectly. The T-800, being physically bigger then the T-1000, rationally, one would think that the T-1000 could never stand a chance against him or would use agility/"ninja" skills to get the upper hand but not so. Cameron wisely understands that both terminators are of equal strength and it shows in the scene. Damn, this movie is perfect...

Not growing up with motorcycles is the main reason. Plus, they can't afford to have a prime actor banging himself up during production learning to ride in serious action scenes. Plus, the kid's movie motorcycle literally had training wheels.

It really shows how much effort was made into these movies, it's why I try to show that no matter what anyone (including myself) says about a movie they made, ignore it cause they really did put alot of effort and time into these movies. I do also understand about other films that's just terrible through the whole thing and should never been made but when you think about the how long an actor has to sit in a chair for hours just to put a little of make up on their face it shows that they really did alot they could to make a good film.
