Man, there’s years of memories in this video. Overhauling a F-M sitting on a pumping unit (pumpjack to some) in the middle of winter was cold work. But in hind sight it was good work. Great memories of the engines and people I worked around.

It’s just too bad that the two locomotive engines shown to entice our viewing was NOT started and run as I and I’m sure many were waiting for.😢

I don't know the US name of the spray the old guy is spraying in the intake of the Fairbanks Morse to help it get running. In Australia it's called 'Start ya Bastard'. A stationary engine owner's best friend. 😂

Why are the thumbnails to these videos always a Kharkov 10d100 diesel? I didn't see a ТЭ10 locomotive start...

The thing that scares me about old Cummins is that the color of the smoke makes them look like they are going to run away at any second.

Bout the 500KVA Cummins: OK, I know one exhaust says "pope" and the other one says "non pope", but once in a while, they spit some fire from hell. Now that's a whole theological engine!

Any Norberg would be great to see. I had a Norberg straight 6 in my 1952 26 ft Chris Craft. It worked good, didn't use much gas and was so quite..
