Noah has grown into being a fine young man. Teach him all you can. Most young kids seem to have no iidea or interests in learning mechanical skills which is very sad. As soon as I could pick up a wrench I started by working on my tricycle and peddle car then my 2 wheel bicycle minibike then motorcycle and finally my first car and truck. I was blessed to be raised on a dairy farm where my dad and uncle repaired the tractors and farm equipment if it was in their skills sometimes things went to the dealer for repair. But they taught me to use my hands and understand things mechanical which has saved me a lot of cash over the years. I passed on what I could to my son and was able to have a career and provide for my family because of what I learned as a child. Always enjoy your videos good luck on the first start up.

It’s nice to see you getting your big block back in. I have a story about a big block and a fire. I spent close to 3k back around 2005, when my oldest son was going to college and he was working at a machine shop. He balanced and blueprinted a big block for my 1970 shortbox pickup. Well it was and still is sitting in just the frame. I came home one evening to see the shop doors open on the building it was in. There had been a fire. My son took out the spark plugs because it wasn’t running right. He hooked up the battery and tried to fire it with an electric fuel pump in a jug to the carburetor. Well with plugs out the spark from the spark plug wires caught it on fire and the fuel was pumping all over the place. He smoked up the place burned up a set of expensive wires and between the powder from the fire extinguisher he managed to mess up my new aluminum intake and valve covers. When I saw he was ok, I didn’t say anything and I just left. It sits to this day that way. Between starting a new business at the time and having health issues later, I never got back to it. Now I should put it on the front burner I guess!

Glad to see that big block back home in the engine bay!!! It’s always nice to see Noah helping you out. My dad is 82 now and unfortunately dementia has taken a toll on him, my son was lucky enough to do an engine swap with him on his 67 chevelle about 10 yrs ago so at least he got to do what I spent my whole childhood doing with him. Now I give my kid a hand here and there and it brings me back to when I was lucky enough to lean from my dad. Sorry for the rambling keep turning out the great content!!!!

I just love to see yall working together, showing the next generation how it was really done. Keep the trade of working on your own classic vehicles yourself, using your own 2 hands and some basics tools, to breath new life back into that old iron. My dad taught me and i passed it on to my son, now he is showing his son. Also when my grand son comes down , i let him help put tools back in there plase . That way he knows what tool is for what. Even tho he is under 2 years old, i see him working on his hot wheels car, and he knows that he is doing, asking me to hand him tools by name. It just melts my heart when he tell me thats done. Now its time to watch old iron on my phone. Thank you for keeping the shade tree mechanic alive. GOD BLESS YOU and thanks again...

A truly beautiful thing ! All of them ! Freeze-out plugs for the Brat , & a Big Block back in the saddle ! Looking GOOD , gentlemen ! Nice to see Noa is right there with you , learning how it's done . " I wonder who designed this , this way ? " Ha ha ! Ask him ! He's standing right next to ya ! I do believe Ken , you & the Dodgillac have turned the corner on this "hiccup". Possibly even that Brat as well . Both are welcome accomplishments , each with it's own flavor of corrections . I love your background music too . I would not be one bit surprised if it's your compositions &/or your performances . I bet you & Noa could give us a mean dueling banjos cover ! Ha ! You all take care out there . Looks like you got it all well in hand . God bless , & I appreciate ya !

Dawn dishwashing detergent will get soot out (it's what I use anyway). You know that harmonic balancer is going to be out of balance, since you painted it, right??? LOL! (You know I won't be the first to sat it!) 😁 I think it was smart to change the timing chain cover gasket. The 1980's were a time when you got questionable fit parts, like oil pumps. You know that black paint adds 20HP! I like when Noa asked: "Who designed this thing?" 😜
