My favourite moment with Beni, apart from the assault on banana mountain and the aerial peeing, was when he was given the milk/jungle water and his entire being screamed "Who the hell do think you're trying to fool?!?!" but he swallowed it anyway cos there was a little bit of milk in there!!! A very selfish part of me doesn't want him to graduate but the rest wishes him every happiness & success for his soft release and for the future. Thank you so much for all you do for our beautiful relatives...enough gratitude can never be adequately expressed. Take care, stay safe😷💞

Aww, Beni is so beautiful & very funny, too. I love orangutans. These are amazing animals & I hope that with the very important work of the BOSF & other rescue organisations, these majestic primates can continue to thrive. It would be a travesty for humanity if, through the loss of their natural habitat, especially from the production of palm oil, resulted in the extinction of these beautiful primates. Who made the decision on selecting Beni, Cinta and Valentino to be the "stars" in the tv programme? Did the vets decide? Were the surrogate mothers who spend most of their time with the babies and knew them too well? Or did the film maker just went there and shoot then decides on location that those three were the ones who would enchant the viewers the most?

There are no animals on palm oil plantations, just 10's of thousands of hectares of sterile palm oil trees. You could be stranded on an island off Borneo, with natural flora and fauna. That would be better.
