They are playing with their viewers so they just intentionally lose to make sure theyre the last 2 person. You can tell by the continuous KO. When viewers noticed there are few left, they all just kill themselves so as to not interfere with their 1v1

@@easonchen8815 do you play Tetris 99? In 2P mode, you can't play it online, only offline. Notice how the other players all pop up together and the game immediately started, and how they all suck. (As in they don't stack neatly whatsoever if you look closely.) That's because they're all CPUs. The 2 players are almost always guaranteed to survive as the last 2 players standing, assuming they're both good enough to play against sucky bots at their chosen difficulty.

Suisei taught Marine how to stack combos. This makes Marine very good at putting up a lot of damage very early. Korone, on the other hand, has noticeably more experience. She’s faster, knows openers, and can plan ahead with her pieces without too much wasted time. She’s not quite top tier, she doesn’t seem to know T-Spins yet, but it’s an incredible display of skill. She excels at quick decisions, making her able to handle the top of the board. For this reason, Korone can get to her garbage easier. She’s quick and efficient, knowing not to cover her holes. She’s level headed, even with only a few lines to work with. Marine doesn’t have that yet. She’s not quite as quick to solve problems. She panics, and then makes costly mistakes. She can recover from a high stack, but only if she gets a little bit lucky.
