@@MrNook43 Bone-Link Fetish: a Strength trinket that can proc and deal damage to your opponent, ive seen 80K+ crits (you have like 150K HP). No'Kaled: one-handed axes that can deal around 10K shadow, fire or frost damage to opponent. Vial of Shadows: Agility trinket, chance to have 4K-6K damage proc. So if a rogue has all 3 of those, they will just spam hemorrhage and let the items do the rest of the damage. 1 CHeapshot and you're dead.

pretty much all hybrid casters get a talent that converts 100% of spirit to hit rating, making it so you can use healer gear for dps. this goes for the balance of power talent for boomies, elemental precision for elemental, and twisted faith for shadow

It's such a nice change, and is the icing on the cake of them fixing gear. You will only wear your type of gear because of a bonus to your main stat for doing so in all slots, which reduces most of the drama from gear and means if you are running 10s it might only be one or two people you are competing with for a given piece.

On top of that reforging to PRECICELY reach hit cap/expertise cap.... let alone something like Hunters which require a very specific amount of haste so their rotation lines up perfectly. I would argue this combined with the superior emblem system and catch up mechanics of the expansion is the simplest and objectively best iteration of emblems and gear in all of WoW. Everything was still deterministic before the warforged/titantorged/etc of gear that came in MoP.

I was missing the mentioning of Skull-bash. Druids, in Wrath, was not able to interrupt anything.... and especially not feral kitty druids. They could, with Skull-bash, which came in Cataclysm

I have been playing since Wrath was live and retail and remember the change with cataclysm, where Feral kitty druids suddenly also could interrupt with the ability Skullbash, having the same icon as a 10 minute sickness

Back when cata was Retail i mained Arms warrior and regularily pugged all the raids as they came by and man it was fun. But this time around im gonna try go with Ele shaman since i really enjoy the gameplay of it in wrath. But man do i hate what they did to paladins with the addition of holy power, completely killed the class for me back in the day, looking forward to giving it a 2nd try with a more mature mindset to see if i just sucked balls back then since i was young and stupid or if the class was just "meh".

Missed one of the biggest changes to pet classes. Aggressive is now removed and replaced with Asist, making it easier to have your pet attack your target instead of having to macro /petattack into your abilities

@@GuideMMO My problem (at the time) when I quit at the end of Padaria was that I was trying to earn old stuff and it was a pain. I don't think it got as heavy on rep grinds until after that, but the signs were there. I don't know if it is compelling enough to play it again. I think I am also still maxed on 50 characters in retail, though I could clearly delete several of those.

As someone who played every patch from Cataclysm to the end of Legion, I can assure you that Cata still very much feels like the old version of the game. Just less janky, more enjoyable to level, more class variety and more engaging content. “Retail” if I had to pin-point a major turning point would be Legion or even Warlords.

Agree fully. Cataclysm was a great expansion with one of the best class designs wow ever had, so idk what the fuzz is about. To me it smells like most of the comments here are from washed up boomers that left once Naxx was done and ulduar was "too hard" lol.

I have to admit, doing it again on private servers this expansion hits different. It has a few glaring errors and at the time content droughts... but almost all of this can be fixed easily except for the final raid tier needing a bit of work. I personally am looking forward to the smaller raid size and the increased challenge.

Completely agree. Cata raiding was a huge reality check for ego inflated players who had one mehanic and 3 spell rotation so far too worry about. Omnitron heroic was godlike fight, not to mention Maloriak or Synestra. Firelands is a completely difrent beast.

Yeah it is so shit that it was (and will be once again) the most played specc in 2v2 and 3v3 due to its insane constant damage, pretty much they have sustained burst on top of getting a new ability called "Skull bash" which is an interrumpt (he forgot to mention that in the video)... So yeah, Feral Druids are shit in Cata.

Not to mention feral charge on the cat aswell and simplified gameplay to keep your amps and bleeds. In PvE is bad until Firelands since the gear in first tier is kinda bad for feral regarding stat vise (spell damage is required for the bleeds to have 100% hit, same with rogue poisons). But it can work. So yeah Ferals suck in cata. One of the most played spec if you know what are you doing.

Some changes from Cata were good but I dislike the homogenization. Pala interrupt, Mage BL, Druid dispel magic, hunter can throw traps etc. Sure its all cool to have but thats already the beginning of letting classes do everything.

How tf is that ever a bad thing though, not having access to basic shit like an interrupt and being forced to bring shamans to 10 mans was dogshit, and hunters throwing traps isnt even homogenization. Classes are already different enough and play differently enough to the point where giving them basic utility isnt gonna make them "feel the same". Certain vanilla classes like mages and warlocks feel infinitely more homogenous and boring since all they do is press 1 button all the time anyways but thats just me though.

Even though I agree with 80% of class improvements in TBC and WotLK, I still prefer and like Vanilla. I'm having again so much fun on Hardcore now and I love vanilla classes, their strengths and weaknesses. I still prefer that. And I don't really like what happened to classes since Cataclysm, especially I dislike the change from mana to focus in my favorite hunter class.

Funny this is the expansion I enjoy Hunters the most in; not having to worry about ammo or feeding your pet, no weapon skills to train, etc. Did you know originally in Vanilla Hunters were intended to use Focus instead of mana but they just ran out of time to implement it? @@dumplingshakes22 , well first of all, after coming back to Wrath Classic I find myself asking: why am I paying for this? What does Wrath Classic offer that a private server does not? I'm seeing the same bugs, the only difference is the leveling is much slower so I don't get to play as many alts as I'd like, and Blizzard doesn't deal with bots like the private servers do so I pay far more for consumables. I think they will get their money out of it the first go around through MoP, but after that they have to provide a better product to convince people to pay for it.

One option requires very little dev time while the other would require lots (meaning it takes money to make money). It would be like hoping an oil company would process shale instead of going for a large pocket of oil that takes less work and is more profitable. Because of this I think we can expect them to go through MoP, and will only work on a Classic+ if the Vanilla-Wrath crowd left; they are all about retention these days (aka people who continue to give them money every month).

Let alone the PvP was fantastic in this expansion and raids got actual mechanics... plus the pre nerf heroics felt like mini raids. I used to feel the same about Cata until I went back and played it on private servers; it hits differently the second time around.

Meanwhile Holy Priest hasn't had a look in the entire expansion, and the only reason you bring Resto Druids and Shaman is for raid healing occasionally. And Disc has been busted the entire time. Weakest part of Wrath - though its still good overall.

Tell me how Wotlk is Classic???? Exploration is totally gone (You spend 99% of your time in Northrend), classes are much more balanced (In real Classic, balance isn't a thing), Looking for Dungeon in Wotlk eliminated the social aspect of the game as people don't even say "Hello" or simply just leave after getting a dungeon they didn't want. You can also teleport pretty much everywhere so no need to even fly or walk to a place. Unless you tell me that you hated TBC and Wrath as well because those AINT Classic either, you can't say that anything after Vanilla is Classic. So, tell me why Wotlk is Classic and Cata isn't? :D I'd love to see what excuses you can come out with :D
