I was fishing at Port Macquarie a few days ago and chasing Flatty's, I pulled a massive blue swimmer out on my soft plastic and jig head. Hooked him right in the leg joint so he was never getting off. A good 170mm across the carapace. He was absolutely delicious.

I think a lot of people overlook the bit rocky places for scooping. I have a few spots that are all dependent on the wind direction. It seems as alway the harder to get to the spot, more size crabs

Nice work guys, Glad to see you using a 1-4 kg outfit ( same as me ) if find it awesome for throwing lighter jig heads for soft baits and providing a better action. Keep the content coming and have a great Christmas. ps: the wind has been a shocker lately trying to fish the swan.

Hey mate 👋 thanks heaps for watching & for the support, the lure I used in this vid is a “squidtrex mini vibe” good lure but prob a little expensive for the flattys, I know the vexed buckaboo jig cleans up and the smaller prawn style soft placcys. Cast along the shallows in the sand near weed patches and drops offs etc and you will get em! Good luck ✅😎🎣

Jack we bagged out on crabs.(drop nets ) in the Mandurah Estuary this morning in about 3hrs.....we did get some over sized but not the giant yet....Have a great Christmas :)

Hahaha yeah I’m slowly venturing over too the dark side 😂🎣 my mate was selling the reel as new and I just thought if I’m going to try a Daiwa now’s the time 😂 so far so good, the flattys are certainly on. Bit of fun for something different ✅🎣 ready for a big shallow water pink slab now though haha ✅🎣😎

Hey mate 👋 100% need some underwater lights - there was another guy down there had far far better lighting than us and he was cleaning up. Underwater light would certainly be the go. Cheers for watching 🦀🎣✅😎
