I was bored by my drawing, then ( in Nov 2021) I found you and I got inspired to try other ways of drawing. Yesterday I (age 69) talked to my son (age 23) about you and he told me that he had been watching many of your videos when he was younger. He also liked them! A nice coincidence! Happy new year, Peter! It's very interesting to know how many calendars there are. I like the idea of looking at a new year as a new beginning, why not?! I don't celebrate it, but I get a planner/journal every year, it helps. BTW, as an Egyptian the Coptic calendar is based on the ancient Egyptian but not quite, in ancient Egyptian years it is the year 6264 since the north & south of Egypt were united, also the Islamic year is a lunar one, so a crescent sets the beginning of the month and a full moon is the middle. a relevant committee does the sighting for accuracy, specially around certain months.

Hi Peter 👋 ❤ Glad you took a breather for yourself and tried to relax 😌. I have New Year intentions instead of resolutions. I'm all moved into my new place and ready for new beginnings. I intend on switching my source of income more in the creative space this year that is more aligned with who I am, so I'm excited. I'm learning DaVinci Resolve to edit KZbin videos and create digital courses in art. I want to have a Patreon community too... and also stream on Twitch sometimes. Yup, it might be annoying for some but I'm gonna say all things I'm doing at the end of every KZbin video. It's just the way for people to know all the things I do, especially new people that find me. Anyway, lots of dreams but I intend on growing things while having fun because I don't want another "job". I just want to do things I enjoy and am appreciated in. I'm very happy you're doing well. 😊

I don't draw but I do write in a journal to try out my pens. This is my time to relax. My angst, if you call it that, is that I get anxious if I don't write. It is much like you with drawing. Great talk about calendars and their use. I think the Romans used a calendar with 30 days in each month. The last five days were for celebrating Saturnalia.

I'm always quite excited that each day represents almost exactly 1° of rotation around the sun. Considering how big the sun is and how far away we are from it, that's a big distance to travel in a day! Edit: did some calculations, it's actually 1/365th of approximately 1 billion km, so about 2.57 million km per day, or 107 thousand km per hour, or 1800 km per minute, or - most importantly - around 20 thousands kilometers during this video

Peter, I cannot wait 2 weeks for an 11 minute dose of 'PD' time. Simply put, it's just not enough. Please.... I needs my Peter fix! Maybe you could work on some kind of 12 step program geared towards helping us poor lost souls thrive without your silken voice. It's hard enough having given up your luscious locks without warning. I was in withdrawal for months! All joking (kind of) aside, thank you for everything you do. You are an inspiration, as well as entertainment, and relaxation. When I'm having trouble sleeping, I can listen to one of your narrated books until I'm ready to nod off.
