You are the only one smart enough to know the hot cold Contraction method works with bigger dents. The morons testing it with dry ice are doing it to small hail dings holding a tiny piece of dry ice for a second then can't believe it didn't work. Get the spot of the dent very hot then stick a block of dry ice and hold it there and it will pop out or do it with the hot water and ice water method like this guy did. Dent needs to be big enough to contract.. Good video showing it works.
@abrahamlopez27074 жыл бұрын
so your saying this same method does not work on small dents??
@Isummerfresh6 жыл бұрын
I've seen many videos where people just used hot boiling water and a plunger or pop a dent devices. No ice was needed.

You can still see the damage on the bottom and top of the dent, his camera angle and lighting hide the damage. Put it outside or with better lighting and you will see the crown on top and bottom are still there.

That dent was so large, and in a place where it could have been popped out from the inside (the trunk in this case).

Hi Mad4 I take it the water was just off the boil ? Would there be any problem with the paint on some cars? It's just I have a 1.5 inch long dent on a door of my Renault and was a bit wary about the high temperature. Thanks anyway for another great vid.
@Mad4Motors_7 жыл бұрын
yes just off the boil if its deeper u might need a plunger, (yes a plunger) will work!

will it be safe to do on a small shallow dent right above a tail light? I know the metal can handle it but im afraid of the plastic tail light cracking 😬

Maybe I should try this. I have a dent on my trunk lid where it is at a crease point
🤣 yup someone pushed the dent from inside... Lmao the second batch never touched the dent.
@liamconnolly92334 жыл бұрын
you clearly don't understand thermo dynamics, hot water cause the metal to expand, the ice water causes the metal to shrink, hence the panel pops
@somestuffithoughtyoumightl69853 жыл бұрын
@@liamconnolly9233 the science is sound, but the application was poor. Cold water never touched the concave part that required contraction.

The way the boiling (or hot) water pours is different than the icy water. He almost doesnt touch the dent with the cold water.
