I find people who view houses and say "It's just horrible" quite rude. They need to remember that whilst it might not be to their taste, it's someone else's current home. If I were the vendor, it would make me question whether I'd even want to sell the house to them at all.

My house is north facing. It’s an end of terrace and only has a 30ft garden. I always have sun in part of the house. On a hot day I have cool areas at the back of the house which can bering much relief. I don’t think the north facing thing is such a big issue in every house and it’s best to assess each house with a visit, before you dismiss a winner. If a house is terraced it is more of an issue.

That's very true. Especially for that 1st house for the expecting couple. That kitchen though small was beautifully laid out and brighter than the 2nd one. The upstairs bathroom was perfect and the guest room was ensuite. It's a guest room and doesn't need a big bed or closet.

It's a big mistake to buy a house with a North-facing garden, especially a small one. The sun is lower in autumn, winter and early spring and they may never see the sun, there will never be sunshine in the rooms overlooking the garden, they'll miss the light and the warmth and pay more in utility bills. It might even affect their mood not to see the sunshine.

It depends on the person. I had a west-facing garden and now a south-facing one. I couldn't use either in the summer because it was too hot and I burn easily. I also had to close the curtains to keep the sun from heating up the house, so it was often quite dark inside in the summer. I think I'd enjoy a north-facing garden. I'd be able to leave the curtains open and see the sunshine but be able to sit outside in the shade. Sounds wonderful!

Some are blessed with thick, straight hair. I’m female, and I can easily tell the difference between expensive upkeep (like extensions) and non-expensive. Blond is far, far pricier to maintain than darker shades due to the risk of breakage with each bleaching. Highlighted and dyed together costs more than a single simple shade, which is easily, inexpensively achievable at home.
