Love Location, Location, Location. And it's not a case of Where's Wally? but rather Spot the cats!! I always enjoy the interaction and antics of Kirsty and Phil!

LLL revisited Lucy and Ben. iirc, after spending several years in the US, they returned to the UK with a child (maybe 2?) and bought a house in Tulse Hill. They seemed settled and appreciative of the fact that losing the house in this episode set them on a journey they wouldn't have missed.

Love the banter, especially the witty narration comments! It's 80% of why I watch :)

Me too! It all started with Ben's comment about the low mailbox on the door. Next stop, the dancing girls. LOL LOL!

I was born in East Dulwich in the mid 60s and moved to Forest Hill as a 9 year old, when my parents relocated. We stayed there for about 10 years until we relocated again, this time to the North Kent Cost. Both East Dulwich and Forest Hill are great places to live.

In the 1950's when I was in my teens, Peckham Rye was an area where many immigrants started there new life and was very colourful, overcrowded and shabby. Streatham was up market with an enormous skating rink and leafy roads. How things change!

I love seeing old technology in these early shows...like chunky Tvs and no sign of an induction hob in any kitchen! The funniest was an episode of LLL where a woman was surprised that the kitchen was full of drawers, not cupboards...I bet her kitchen has drawers now!

Seems like all one has to do these days to “add value” is buy something…the prices go up no matter what in London. Or so it seems. But I know some of these episodes are older than others when no one knew quite how insane the market would get. A shame they could not get the house but hopefully they are in one now.
@Kevin-sm8pn2 жыл бұрын
They are. They did an update on both couples. I think Ben and Lucy's update was in 2013, and Kat and Ed's update was in 2017, I think. Ben and Lucy did some traveling before settling down in London, finding a house and having a son. Kat and Ed stayed in the same flat and did some work and was in the middle of working on the back entrance that Phil proposed in this episode.

Merry Christmas 🎄 I so enjoyed your Christmas tour. Especially the background music for the Christmas tree. Plus your Merry Christmas banner was really sweet. The Nativity arrangement was perfect and so was your table candle holder! Couldnt tell for sure if the green glass jars above the refrigerator had fairy lights in them. Would be added cuteness 😇 you two do such a wonderful job. Blessings to all of you and especially to your Mom. So special to honor your father with his picture front and center on the tree 🎄🇺🇸

Picky couple -- did they fail to note the giant jet flying about 50 yards overhead? LOL. I've lived very close to an airport. NOT fun!

There is never a couple or person with a “ normal” job like bricklayer, carpenter, etc Why not?
@thehungrygoldfish5 ай бұрын
Because it’s London lol. You might get a couple with “normal jobs” If it was in Liverpool or Wales or something. A plumber buying a house in London? No. Just no. 😂😂😂
@vanessaruiz47054 ай бұрын
there are, i've seen sales assistants, plumbers, beauticians, etc. But well, it's true that we mostly see "office jobs".

Sitting on a young child's bed, especially near the pillows with your bum right there is not good manners imo.

What can buy for 295,000 to 300,000 in London now? 2022

Basically nothing. They did a house search with a budget of 350k in late 2020, and they searched in the outskirts of North London, and they didn't find much. The couple ended up buying a three bedroom maisonette.

I was just thinking about getting 2 couples with the same budget and don’t let them know they are going to look at the same four houses. Ok when you are retired your imagination just goes wild.😊
@thehungrygoldfish5 сағат бұрын
I don’t think that would happen because they usually pick couples with different budgets or different locations or both.
