Ed is the biggest emotionally immature man who is so easily triggered and insults everyone because he can’t handle rejection. Nor is he willing to acknowledge his own issues within himself. It’s so sad that his maladaptive attitude, actions, and narcissistic tendencies is clear as day. He’s living in his huge ego but deep down he’s afraid of being alone, rejected, and constantly have his negative self-concept. I hope he will get some help so he can evolve into a better version of himself. Their trauma bond is so strong because they both have those deep unresolved issues that needs healing. I hope Liz will finally get her strength to love herself and walk away for good.

NPD is typically divided into two subtypes, including overt (grandiose) and covert narcissism. While both types share many similarities, including a lack of empathy, an inflated sense of self-importance, and a need for admiration, the way that each type presents outwardly can differ. In particular, people with overt narcissism are generally more extroverted and are often described as bold and charming. However, they can also become combative and confrontational when challenged. On the other hand, though people with covert (or vulnerable) narcissism are just as self-absorbed, they are typically perceived as more introverted, self-conscious, and insecure.

I love these messages, dude. I'm currently going through a breakup of a guy I was with for 2.5 years. He was emotionally unavailable, still thinking of a girl he had a 2-week fling with and kept going back and forth on whether he wanted to marry me or not. I tried to encourage him to get help but he refused it. It got so frustrating to try to help someone who didn't want to help himself. It's weird being single and sometimes, I feel really fucking lonely, especially when facing what my shitty family put me through. However, there are days where I feel like I'm getting somewhere by doing yoga, journalling, reading 12 Rules for Life, and trying out new crafts that I made!

I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself. Good for you! And when you start dating again never stay with someone that is unsure about you. Men usually know pretty early on how they feel about you and if they want to settle down with you. If he’s cheating on you and saying “I’m not sure about marriage” then believe him. You’re a place holder until he finds better. Men will show you with actions that they care about you and you are a priority. If it’s unclear where you stand, even after a discussion, you’re probably not the one. Been there. Done that 😩

Cheating on each other, wives not really being allowed to leave, dealing with your husband being abusive mentally or physically because that's "how men are", I'll mention my boyfriend is coming over and they will say somthing like "Oh that's nice! What are you cooking him?", when I tell them I'm not married yet and they "good, don't.", them having to have children, ect. She somehow continues to find reasons to stay with him, so there's nothing anyone can say to her until she herself can permanently walk away. I agree with the end part. Same with my first husband. He kept insisting I was cheating because I went out with friends to help from being lonely. I went with my cousin, my now husband (back before we even started dating and didn't date until a year after our split), my cousin's boyfriend, her half-sister I'm not related to and her husband to see a show in Tulsa which was late, so we all went and got two hotel rooms. Me, my new husband, my little cousin, and her boyfriend were in one room. My husband slept on the floor for me to have the bed. That is apparently cheating. Me going to comic cons with friends and dressing up, staying the night in my own hotel room is me cheating. Me cosplaying and getting photos taken with me is cheating. Me going to work was cheating because I made more money than him. But I couldn't say a word when he went to the casinos all the time spending my money gambling as well as his. After saying a college graduate is too worldly for him, he started seeing a 9th grade dropout dog groomer. Apparently, that makes him happy while my current husband doesn't have a problem, I am the breadwinner, and he can take the easier jobs he prefers.

I was never allowed to be hurt about what he'd done once he's apologized. He'd accuse me of harping on the past and being vindictive. Just let Ed is doing to Liz. I really hope that this girl wakes up soon. This man will ruin her life. Also, the reason why Liz walk away, is a way of protecting herself. These kinds of people assassinate your character and use everything you do or so against you. Often times walking away is the only way to stop the argument.

My most recent ex is IDENTICAL to Ed. I don't think about him any longer, but watching this show brought ALL those feelings of frustration, conffusion and desperation back into my atmosphere. I had to eventually fast forward their segments becasue I felt that trauma from my ex's emotional abuse seeping back in. Him and Ed could literally be morally void twins.

i don't think liz would agree though - rose is still single so in liz's mind or maybe her subconscious that would be 'proof' that rose fucked up by ditching ed. apparently she (liz) was in the middle of a divorce when she got engaged to ed... and that marriage had started in the middle of her previous divorce.. people put rose up as an example to liz but i think deep down rose is proof of what she's afraid of - being alone. maybe! also - most of what she knows about rose she heard from ed and you can bet your bottom dollar he's highlighted how he was willing to marry her and all the time later she's still not married... liz will be viewing it through that lens deep down maybe

@@doncarlin9081 aye i know - and regardless of men she's not alone anyway, she's got her son, her sister, a big following, lots of people - but im talking about how liz may be perceiving the situation after years of ed's nonsense filling her head. people say she's frightened of being alone - and what do the viewers really know, we don't really know - but successive marriages would indicate that. so seeing the woman lauded for walking away from her 'chance at marriage with ed' being still unmarried to this day, liz might be seeing that and going 'well that just shows why i've done the smart thing by sticking by him, look how she ended up'. i don't think she's necessarily consciously thinking that, but part of her might be, and maybe ed plays on that

So Rose held Ed responsible for his words and behavior. She was very young and also had a child. She didn’t continue to allow the abuse as a means to get sympathy, a spot on the show or an outpouring of support and “Poor Baby/You go girls”. Rose walked away, kept her son and dignity. Not Liz. If Liz didn’t have an audience to listen to the constant drivel, it would quickly lose its appeal and so would Ed.

I've been watching your channel from almost the beginning, and you've always done a fantastic 👏 job on summarizing the current storylines/arcs of our favorite reality TV/Trainwrecks in motion. I'm commenting this time because I wanted to say that I've noticed much personal growth & increased insight into the basic psychology (both normal & abnormal, lol) of the motivations & behaviors of these "characters". I really appreciate the time you take to share/mentor/explain some of the troubling mindsets, issues & problems that are acted out, & hopefully the "casts" as well as your target audience can learn along with you. You've grown in both Spirit & mind, and I wanted to take a moment to compliment you on that. You keep it 💯 real while also managing to keep a very humorous outlook on the big picture. At the risk of sounding much like a fangirl/Stan myself, I'm gonna say a job well done, @yourwetsock! The nicknames you come up with such as Angela "Dirty Bird" Deem & "Little Edward/Egg Brown" stay in my mind & bring merriment to my heart! Keep up the quality work!

I need y'all to understand that some people in abusive relationships don't just leave the disfunction or wake up from the fog after a few breakups and fights. You have to think about it like a drug addiction. Liz is chasing the high of the good parts of the relationship (love bombing) and trying to stick through the bad hoping it gets better. Ed knows that. Considering it's gone this far she's gonna have to get to a very low place before waking up and being able to finally detach from Ed for good. Yes, this shit is partially on her for going back to him repeatedly. But given the fact that Ed is an abuser that heavily manipulates and love bombs his victims you're putting more blame on her than him. He knows she's broken and he uses that against her to keep her around. I understand it's frustrating but she'll leave eventually. It's just going to take more than realizing Ed's a piece of shit and 10+ breakups. So let's not victim blame.
