there two items for a successfully house. 1: player costimation and I mean stuff like let me place this sword from classic onyxia raid you know I did stuff back then I got stuff let me show it off (dont need to do anything) but let me show off my creativity or my vault of achievements (the achievements are sort of dull because a lot of them are like do X you got a mount or a pet or battlepet even if that had zero whit that achievement. 2: Timeless Housing must be more then a 1 expansion deal (garrison) and I think player knew that whit the Garrison in wow) also player should be able to visit other player. and I know player have complained about it a lot to blizzard how they make something the center piece of a expansion next expansion 100% useless never used ever. Like the Neckless player had to upgrade in one expansion and the next expansion 100% useless like player would not keep it in there bank because it did nothing and was never referenced like in some game oh you did this raid in the 2 expansion and there was this lore relevant sword, Player would keep the sword for 3 expansion when the Lore relevant of said sword would be brought up again player would grab it from the bank head into the new content and be greeted and only if they wore said sword hay thats X, maybe they did not need to farm rep whit a faction or they could skip 1 quest chain the get there trust because you got the sword already. ... now whit player housing I hope Blizzards add Guild house/base/city a masive money sink where guild would pick (if your a small guild one special larger building whit a function). if your a huge guild you pick the city option. and then you go about building it this cost a lot of gold and material but at the end you got a massive bragging right reward. (one think the guild I was part of did back in BC-Wrath was we had diffrent HQ located out in the world... correction we moved our HQ depending on need and the size. we started out whit us using a empty house in stormwind as our base (made sense for us) later when we grew we moved to I think Southshore and had the whole town be our base. and we would have regular events there. be it formation walking, training and so on.

Absolutely, But Blizzard refuses to look at other games or mmo's that have done so very well and implement they're own. Old School Runescape housing is great 9/10, ESO another good reference 8/10. And for how up and down the game itself of Fallout 76, The housing 10/10. The more unique customizable features the better. As long as they serve a purpose and or flaunt achievements the player has made. Being able to build a House from scratch is top tier to customize how you want it, allowing other player's to come check it out. Even having it have functionality as to store more item's , or having your own set crafting station's at an arm's reach.

@@inputflounder5322 If by other MMOs, you're referring to FFXIV, then you can take your idea and toss it out the nearest window, chief. The housing system within that excuse of an MMO is atrocious. If I wanted to simulate housing inflation, auctions, suburbs and Boomers' holding onto empty houses as retirement investments, I'd play the real estate game in real life. Atleast I could stand a chance to make money from it. This is why I like ESO's. Its ungoverned by economy. Every house is individually instanced on a per group or player basis. They're accessible by all characters as soon as they're collected, can be used as fast travel points to get around, with all housing cosmetics being transferable to any house you like through a shared inventory system and lastly, each house is designed to fit the location they're built for, so that people can go explore them to decide if they'd like to purchase them, or teleport into the house from afar to purchase. This ensures that immersion while traveling is kept while also allowing players' to be staggered out instead of clustered into a singular area, or a handful of areas. In order for player housing to be acceptable for the WoW community, it needs to have alt friendly features built into it while also not relying solely on an already inflated economy. If WoW did it the way FFXIV did, they'd be nothing more than gold sinks which would price out most of the playerbase from caring. It'd also upset the many guilds and roleplaying groups who have been asking for player housing for years so that they can hold events and meetings in peace away from randoms.

If they can continue to make the game in a way that respects your time, that's half the battle. They did that well in DF. I don't think housing will happen in TWW. That's extremely wishful thinking. I'm more excited for more Darkmoon Faire updates. More achievements, more rewards, more special/timed events, maybe more lore into the place itself, roller coaster wheels that move, more pet battle options/npcs and possibly a chance to win a rare pet from battles, and maybe bring the DMF into play twice a month. Also there should be some level of interaction with the pets kept in enclosures. They just sit there in the same spot 24/7. They need more room to move, maybe let some of them growl at nearby players, give players the opportunity to feed them, etc. Maybe we could get a Halloween DMF event that's similar to the Headless Horseman event. That crossover could be awesome, putting out fires, fighting random mobs, a boss fight, event-based loot. Just some thoughts.

I think an instanced camp like buldurs gate that you can customize for your warband and to interact with your characters would be pretty cool. Maybe what characters you have to show in the camp can give you certain things like ports from your mage or hunter pets roaming the camp or if you have a blacksmith they're there smithing tools. I think there is a lot you could do with war bands that could build the ground work for player housing. For parties I would allow your "make camp" or war camp hearth allow you to bring your party with them like a message like Leroy is making camp wish to join them?

Well for the gnomes they do have mechagon city which isn’t instances when starting out as a mechagnome, like you can actually explore the city and it is populated by various notable gnome/mechagnome people, all they really need to do is make it accessible to everyone and boom, instant steampunk city for the gnomes.

I liked how Lotro did their housing back in the day. It was instanced from the world but there were neighborhoods so youd have other players' houses all around you and vendors and stuff to interact with but it wasnt over flowing with players or super limited that you couldnt get a house It was possible to not be able to get a house on a certain neighborhood though and some were highly sought after. It was cool loading into the neighbor hood checking out different available houses (within the neighborhood the plots are limited and non-instanced iirc). I have fond memories of sitting near a pond with my next door hobbit neighbor fishing and shooting the shit showing eachother trophies etc. Great system imo

i believe it once every race get's recognized by Blizzard, even Vulpera. So far everything they did was either Humans or Orc centered which especially for the Horde is kinda..throwing the different races banding together concept out of the window. Also i hope we get playable Gnolls and Tuskarr one day , they seem to have forgotten about Jinyu and Hozen (which had way more introductions and reasons to join Alliance or Horde than those Island Pandaren) or playable Ogers and Arrakoa :< Blizz loves not using their potential. They would be even more unique with all these beastal races. We don't need more elvess, dwarfs and humans..especially when they just look like they should have been a Barber shop option.

as ive said before with player housing for wow, it has to be full send or nothing at all, more than 1 home per zone and every zone has one, multiple homes per capital city, all homes costing gold or are quest rewards with the most valuable home being 1mil gold no more, accessories being crafted looted sold by npcs and boe and reasonable to make/buy, theme should be chosen inside and out from walls being stone or wood to colors and window shapes n shit, take some elements from garrisons and add a dock with boats you can also customize and they are just like the houses buyable rewards from quests craftable and no more than 1mil gold for the best one (they dont need to do anything for now its just a place to have them) aswell as a buyable dock slot in any major port to put your own ship with its own crew that you can choose to take to any other dock on azeroth, a achievement/trophy system lik we have in the garrisons but more indepth. if i buy a home in forsaken land i want it to be based on the location its in so for example brill i want it to fit that estetic or lets say its just out in the fields i want it to look like it fits that (and afterwords once you own the home you can choose to change the theme) keep them visible to only the player and who evers in the group otherwise if its just waking by the home and you dont own it or someone else does its just going to show default, they come with their own stuff inside and outside you can sell and/or use. you can have unlimited amount of homes and no one has exclusive rights to a home. i want armor racks i put my own transmogs on peice by peice aswell as weapon racks, i want a choice in changing terrain if i want a lake or a small farm or just another small building let me do that (idk if i can fish in the farm just make it so its based on that areas loot) a location for my pets to free roam, i location for my ground and flying mounts to walk/run/fly

While I don't see my nomadic vulpera settling down in a permanent home, I'm sure my evoker would like a little house somewhere in the dragon isles. Either Valdrakken, Forbidden Reach, or Waking Shores. Right now my hearth is set to the Dracthyr inn tucked in the back in the blue dragon quarter which is fine for now, but for some reason my dracthyr settling down in any of the old capitals doesn't really compute for me.

the problem was that there was no reason to leave the Garison as 90% of WOD daily activty was done from it also had crafting station and gathering station and all that. A player housing would for the most part be empty when it comes to banking, crafting and so on. in fact ods are that player would not spend time in there Home because why would you go there.

Nearly everyone who makes a case for housing addresses this concern. Garrisons weren't even close to actual player housing. Anyone who has even the most minimal knowledge of housing in other games knows this.

There needs to be scarcity of plots. If there are only 50 houses in stormwind, being a lucky owner of 1 of them feels special and people will take pride in it

Sure it would feel special but you do realize how many people goldfarm and have alts right? Having scarcity implies people would have to live in places they don’t prefer if all the houses are bought. Feels bad to want a house in Stormwind but due to scarcity you have to live in Duskwood. It’s cool in theory but people would hate it in practice.

@@BeyondDaX yep and sell it for real money. Just look at Archage player housing all plots was bought 30 min after game launch and then sold outside the game for like 300 USD per plot of land.

Player housing is not good :/ Every game that has player housing kills the Community spirit. Garrison in WoD feeling. It would need to be rolled out in a way that deals with phasing and ensures players still leave their house, and don't just queue up to content from there and never fill the cities with life again.

Make a place where you can fisplay mounta and other collectibles like fuck, we spend literal years farming shit, we want to host parties and show it off, or simply bask in their glorious display
