Berube with Evanson on the bench…. I myself have put this trade forward, previously. Good value Wright ELC 2 more years. First round draft pick ( 8th OA ) plus a prospect. Seattle is prime for Marner. Washington State has no tax - signs 8 yr extension. Face of franchise

Lyabushkin was a +4 in the playoffs, and laid some people out. He did what he was suppose to do well. He was never mean't be to be the 1# right hand D lol. He thrives as a 3rd pairing D man, maybe sometimes as 2nd pairing... You can't complain, he didn;t play bad...the leafs didn't lose because of D, their fancy forwards couldn't consistently score at nearly the same pace as they do in the regular season.

I disagree. You can’t win big without defense that can score and move the puck. This is something the leafs have always needed and I expect this will be a too priority

Playoffs are not won from goals from the D, they are won by D who are miserable to play against. And some D who can move and transition the puck. 100% sure D that can score will not be the priority.
