Big Perch Crush the Drop Shot Lures : Fishing Loch Awe.

The big Perch crush our drop shot lures and worms in a brilliant session on one of my favourite lochs.
I was joined by my good friend Douglas from ‪@PiscatorUK-Fishing‬ for a day out on Reel Time the Orkney Coastliner 14. To be honest we were flexible in our plans, all we wanted was a good day out catching fish - any fish, no specific target species.
Loch Awe did not disappoint and we soon into some smaller Perch that just got bigger and bigger as the day went on. A Jack Pike also got in on the act.
I'd say the hardest part of the day was calling time. We travelled back to the pontoons with the navigation lights on. It was a beautiful end to a fantastic day.

Beautiful fish, my favourite species. On light gear, Perch always give a good account of themselves. The bigger ones are just class. You don't hear much about Perch fishing on Awe, but you've shown it has quality fish, as it does for most of its species. Good day out, you obviously enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks 👍 The Loch Awe Perch are generally quite dark especially the smaller ones. The larger fish seemed to have more vibrant colours. Phil
