Thanks. It was a lovely day out and always nice to catch some good fish. Perch are something special and even more so in those surroundings. 👍

Thanks 👍 The Loch Awe Perch are generally quite dark especially the smaller ones. The larger fish seemed to have more vibrant colours. Phil

Thanks 👍. It was a really relaxing day. Douglas and I just talked fishing all day. Brilliant, just what we needed after a day blanking for Ferox Trout. Phil

Beautiful fish, my favourite species. On light gear, Perch always give a good account of themselves. The bigger ones are just class. You don't hear much about Perch fishing on Awe, but you've shown it has quality fish, as it does for most of its species. Good day out, you obviously enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

Couldn't agree more. Loch Awe is a terrific location. Need to target some of the Pike in there next time.

Thanks Alex, glad you enjoyed the video. I'm always surprised by how different the Perch populations are between the various locations. Phil.

It's a beautiful place, one of my favourite lochs and one I've visited many times with the boat and my kayak.

@@anotherangleUK I eventually got my arse up north and over the border to Scotland last year for the first time. We stayed in Oban for 6 days. We had perfect weather for our stay and was taken aback by the absolutely stunning scenery. Will definitely be back at some point 👍🎣

Fantastic, glad you enjoyed the Oban trip. I've been trying to get there myself this year but each time the weather has been forecast for gusts of 30 mph plus from SW - not what my little boat likes. Fingers crossed for settle weather next year.

@@anotherangleUK I might try to come back to Oban next year and bring my sib 🤞🎣
@anotherangleUK3 ай бұрын
Lots of options around Oban for the SIB. Look out for a channel called 'Donny Wilcox' - he does lots of trips on his SIB around those parts.
