Is “Big Pharma” misleading the public by making weight loss drugs sound like miracle cures for obesity - especially while downplaying the very serious side-effects? 😨 Why are they ignoring the fact that we’re surrounded by cheap, ultra-processed foods loaded with sugar and that are literally engineered to be addictive? 😡 Watch Dr. Westman react to an interview with a health researcher who is NOT holding back about these critical issues.

Good goal but what is your plan to do that? Dr.Westman isn't hardcore enough for me but many will get by on the keto he promotes. I take no drugs but do take a lot of electrolytes and minerals and salt.Beef is what works. Get thin and lean by eating 4 days a week and take a few days off to let your gut rest and regenerate.

I'll never forget when I started seeing pharma commercials on TV in the 90's. I thought it was weird then and still think it's weird. I was brought up in a time where you had discussions about your health and meds one on one with your physician, they gave you guidance on medications 💊 not a tv screen.

I am 66 and went off high blood pressure meds and stopped going to the Dr. because I think the mammograms and colon tests were causing harm and haven’t had a vaccine since the ones they forced on kids to go to public school when I was five years old. It is horrendous the shots they give new born babies. America has more diseases and more mental health problems and people need to wake up and realize those government agencies are corporate run for profit and not looking out for what is good for the people.

I tell people all the time that doctor's have a vested interest in keeping us sick and unhealthy...if we actually get well and don't need them anymore then they no longer have patients, i.e. they are out of work! Think about it. Not saying all doctors are this way, just the vast majority, and definitely the hospital boards, big pharma, and the FDA. They NEED us to be sick and dependent on their toxic meds in order to get rich. Conspiracy theory or disturbing truth? I'm convinced it's the latter.

I recently went in for a fairly major operation and as part of the pre-op told the doctor that I used to suffer from heartburn and acid reflux at night. He asked what medicine I took to stop these and when I said none, that I'd completely cured myself by changing my food, he was shocked and clearly very put out. I had a skin graft a couple of years ago and asked that doctor what foods I could add to my diet to help my skin recover and give it extra nutrition, and it was as if I was speaking a foreign language. I don't think he'd made any connection between food and health. Odd. Since COVID, I've had my complete lack of faith in doctors confirmed.

I was required to take a nutrition class, but doctors are very clear when they say they have very little education on nutrition which is absurd to me, considering that is, the fuel for the human body for all things and yet doctors are supposed to be out here. Helping to heal us and they don't even know about nutrition. And it's benefits I will never see a doctor in the rest of my life unless of course it's the mortician.

Absolutely you are what you eat. I’m not American but I was in America a few years ago. My husband and I took a bus trip to Canada with a lot of Americans and the bus stopped at one of those cafes for lunch. The food available was a smorgasbord of a heart attack about to take place. And most people chose the most fattening foods with gravies. What I’m saying is that instead of having grilled meats and clean vegetables and salads. It was all very unhealthy.

I am convinced ONE of the reasons they are bringing in so many illegal migrants to live the American "dream" is because a lot of Americans are smartening up; getting healthy with better food choices and getting off meds. Junk food and fast food companies have complained that thier profits have gone down. Now they are forcing farmers overseas to kill cows; we get alot of beef from overseas and they are allowed to put USA on the label. B Gates and Chynah have bought up most of our large farm land and Chynah owns a lot of our food processing centers.

Good on you. The medications aren't evil. If your neurologist wanted to use it for on label use... Like ok fine take it use it for what it was defined for and up your protein to counter the muscle loss risk. I'm not going to tell people not to take them I will say like there are reasons to take them and off label weight loss is not high on my priority list unless you are like gonna die in a year. If you already died on an operating table and they brought you back and you are 500+ lb like yeah let's talk about ozempic. If you're just too lazy to make keto ramen with shirataki noodles and an air fryer... Like this will not end well. Ozempic isn't a cure for laziness and you can lose weight being lazy about it. When I put 4 pounds of pork loin in my air fryer for 20 minutes and get it out an hour later and I make 8 meals out of it... That's not hard work. Like yeah I cut some up, shredded some, pulled some apart, and seasoned/prepared them all differently. It's not that hard and it's $15 of food for 8 meals. Seasonings and sauces included for $15.

We had cookery lessons at school, we also learned about basic skills on housekeeping, skills for life, also sewing. Girls need these basic skills and boys as well. Every body should have these basic skills to live a healthy life and also about having babies and child care. I was born 1953.these skills have been the most useful to me, it's all changed for the worst, I have great grandchildren now.and I,m glad I am still around, to show them basic common sense and knowledge that they need to live a healthy lifestyle, and what is important in this world, basic good manners and treating people, as you want to be treated .children use UT and Google these days and it's very sad. We have lost the community's and ability to live in love and fellowship, harmony in our lives. The basics. Of love thy neighbour's.

Mom and Dad of blessed memories fed us wholesome foods. Candy, pop, bagged snacks were never part of our diet. I and my husband brought up our little family in the same way. There were no allergies.

However, my employer choose to ignore natural immunity. Everyone was told it was for the SAFETY of the employees. Here’s the kicker, the mandate was ONLY for US employees. My employer was/is a global company. I guess the US employees feel extra special they care more for their safety than the global employees. They caved because of the puppet sitting in the drivers seat of our once great country. We’re fast becoming a 3rd world country. FJB and Big Pharma!

I've had chemo 11 times, and IVIG probably 100 times, and a spleen surgically removed " to stop the problem. " Never did one of my 6 different oncologists say, " if you eat spinach, raisins, and pomegranate juice every day, it will naturally raise your platelets. " I learned that myself. Medicine= money, and your sickness is their cash cow. Can you tell I'm jaded by our medical system? You are 15 minutes of their day. Do you really think they have time to really research your problem?! And who do you think is a major donor to medical schools? Big pharma. Big pharma gives money to the schools and expects reciprocal favors, and that comes in teaching about drugs. And yes, big pharma rewards doctors who sell their products. It's ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. We, all of us, need to do our own home work. Don't trust your doctor. Despite what they may think, they are not God and they make mistakes.

When I went back to work after my children were born, I suddenly gained weight. I couldn't stop it. I was very active and ate very little. I did not understand it but assumed I had a slowing Metabolism. I tried many things and there was no real change. The doctor put me on blood pressure mess. I had.been hearing about mold toxicity and thought I'd cleanse to help with allergies. I hadn't read a whole lot yet. I cut sugar and grain. After 2 weeks I woke up and noticed I had shrunk. Litterly. It seems that I'm sensitive to fungi and my body was trying to protect me by trapping this in fluid in-between my fat cells. I cut processed salt and started taking vinegar shots. There is quite a lot about fungi in our food. Checking, I found quite a bit on testing grains. The US stated that we are industry leaders blah blah. tops in testing . So, I wanted to see the testing. Imagine my SURPRISE that we test animal food but not for our bread. It's really worth taking a look.

The corporations became "persons" in that famous Supreme Court decision written by a clerk who wanted it to go a certain direction. Check that out. Cycle around to people wanting fast fixes. There's that pressure. People wanting to eat what they are addicted to, and that addiction coming from food corporations wanting more money. Lobbyists wanting to "help" politicians fund their campaign finances. There really is enough blame to go around. Pick any point of the cage. When the US stops, after being hit in the head with this greed sledge hammer, shakes its fuzzed head, and wakes up to take responsibility for themselves and their own family, them maybe instead of a nuclear wave of continued stupidity there will be an awakening before the whole country goes over the cliff.

I quit drinking alcoholic beverages about 12 years ago - when my primary care physician was telling me I need to start taking a statin drug for life. Yes, it was a life changing moment - by no longer drinking alcoholic beverages, my weight reduced by 40 pounds, my blood pressure normalized, and I no longer wake up with the physical jitters, and a hang-over. I initially told my PC doctor, that I'd consider, and come back for a follow up appointment, and then went to an acupuncturist who target treated for high blood pressure for about 6 weeks. When I returned to my PC doctor, he and his staff were dumb founded in disbelief when I explained going to an acupuncturist for treatment - checking/double checking even triple checking blood pressure. Albeit, the real solution was to just stop drinking alcoholic beverages completely. I'm also just recently realizing that the beverage I enjoy has high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar based - this too will be coming to an end.

I told my doctor i couldn't afford to be sick anymore. He proceeded to take out 9 of the 11 pills i was taking everyday. I asked him why i was taking all those if i didn't need them. He said they made the others work better. Dumbest thing i ever heard. I stopped taking all meds, with nothing changing until i changed my diet.

I’m 58 and a type 2 diabetic. I became a diabetic in my late 30’s. For many years I was in denial and continued eating carbs and sweets. About 6 years ago I began having medical problems and I was put on all kinds of medications. I strongly believe that the medications were doing me more harm than good. So I totally changed my lifestyle and became “healthy” by exercising and eating no carbs and no sugars! Actually I have about 50 carbs a day. My bloodwork is perfect and my last A1C was 5.4. When I watched this video, it just shocked me on how the health industry, as a whole, is treating the symptoms but not the cause. And it all revolves around money and power! And it’s disgusting!

I think we need this guy or Barbara O’Neil as our new head of the FDA. Been saying this for years that more folks die from the “medications and cures” than from the disease or ailments themselves. I’ve seen people I love refuse to stop taking the massive quantity of drugs their so trusted, caring physician told them they NEEDED only to suffer from their awful side effects and ultimately kill them. Not their ailment, their “cure”. I know many that have died from chemotherapy. Not cancer, the “cure” for it. Angers me to no end. The word pharmaceutical comes from the Greek word sorcery. That says it all right there. America takes over 80% of the pharmaceuticals of the entire world while being only 4.2% of the world’s population. Yet we are by far the sickest country in the world. Stop feeding the pigs and help the organic farmers! We need fresh, unprocessed, untainted, whole foods to survive and better yet, thrive the way Our Creator God intended! Saying a prayer over us all to be free from this wolf in sheep’s clothing! Lord protect us from this evil of the enemy. Amen

Wow! This is mind blowing!! I always wondered why Big Pharma runs so many ads on tv when people can’t go buy the drugs themselves. Why pay for ads if people can’t buy your product without a prescription. Now it makes total sense!

It's illegal in other countries. Prescription drugs can't be marketed directly to the consumer. Can you imagine if the US had such a law? TV would be mostly empty air!😂

They get to control the content of the news. It’s why you don’t hear what psych meds school shooters are taking. You might hear “being treated for mental illness”, but that insinuates it’s the mental illness that caused it (implying the need for more meds, even) and not the meds, themselves-most of which come with black box warnings for increased suicidal and homicidal ideation. We’ve always had mental illness, we’ve always had guns…what changed? What increased concurrently? Psych meds for teens. Mass shootings.

In Sept 2019, I was diagnosed T2D with an A1C of 8.1. I was put on Jardiance because I also had severe IBS. My PCP didn’t think I could tolerate metformin. I was given dietary guidelines and instructed to cut my calorie intake to 1800. I began walking daily. I actually struggled to get enough calories while figuring out my new diet. By January, I had lost 70 pounds. My A1C was 5.8. I was taken off Jardiance. I was still struggling to get enough calories with food that wouldn’t spike my sugar and continued to lose weight, though much more slowly. At my follow up in May, my A1C was 5.4. It’s been 5.2-5.4 ever since. I’ve lost a total of 110 lbs and kept it off. I exercise every day, usually biking. We eventually backed off my checkups to 6 months and then once a year. At my checkup in June, my Doc said, “What you’re doing is working, keep it up.” I still track my calories and sugar intake and still cycle. It will be five years next month since I was diagnosed. I’m healthier now than I was in my 30s. (I’m 62.) This is my lifestyle for the rest of my life - and I’m OK with that! Oh, yeah - I’ve been off BP meds for a couple years and my IBS is infinitely better with no horrible attacks. I would be remiss not to add that prayer was big part of this story. LOTS of people were praying for me. God has answered those prayers and kept me faithful!

You might want to run the numbers. Whole foods generally are more expensive. This and they require some effort to cook are the reason the poor start eating processed foods.

@TerryKeever "You might want to run the numbers. Whole foods are generally more expensive. This and they require some effort to cook are the reason the poor start eating processed foods." "You might want to run the numbers. Whole foods are generally more expensive." Correct, but I think what @lauraw.7008 is effectively saying is that whole foods are less expensive over the long term because there are usually less negative effects from them than from processed foods which usually cause more negative health effects that can take a lot of money spent on medical care to treat or "correct". Yes, upfront or immediately whole foods are usually definitely more expensive directly compared to the processed foods that are usually financially cheaper to buy but that over time can usually add up in what could be burdensome medical costs financially. But despite whole foods initial upfront or immediate costs, those foods are usually healthier and will usually cost less over the long term because the consumer is, hopefully, not paying so much in medical costs down the line as they most likely would with consuming processed foods. And I say all of this hypocritically since I am a big time consumer of processed stuff, foods and junk food occasionally throwing in some whole foods because even though I can cook somewhat and don't mind it at times, I actually hate doing it most of the time for various reasons. 😅😂🤣😁 But, yes! What you said is true, that "...the reason the poor start eating processed foods." "This and they require some effort to cook are the reason the poor start eating processed foods." The same can also be said about the lazy about cooking (which I am most of the time, lol) no matter what their financial situations are individually (and I am financially poor btw. 😔).

I lived in the South of France for a year and lost 80 pounds in 6 months. The food is so much better there. The regular food there is better than the organic food here in the USA. Even when I go to visit friends there, I lose an average of 6 lbs a week, without trying. When I moved back to the US, I suddenly had food allergies and felt so poorly. I learned then that our food lacks healthy germs and makes us so sick. I tend to eat as cleanly as possible.

Thank you for this video. I worked in the ICU at Duke for 27 yrs. Loved my career and being a part of academic medicine. I’m truly appalled at how Pharma has hijacked our health. The more I research, the angrier I get. I’ve been following Dr. Califf’s leadership in the FDA. While I can only imagine the pressure from all sides, I am disappointed that he, as a cardiologist, has been unable to enact sensible changes. Please keep putting out this valuable content.

Yes your right doctor. Changing your food choices is the answer to most health problems today. So please tell us where is healthy food today? Everything is injected with something that is bad for you whether it be fruit, veggies, meats, chicken, fish etc. Everything that is pomped in our foods are ingested in to our system. So where do you suggest we buy healthy food that we can afford?
