On Today's Episode:
If you’re following government guidelines for food and health, watch this episode very carefully, as the industry and policy lies being exposed are triggering.
Calley Means has been advising politicians and prominent food and pharma companies and has founded his own company, TrueMed, to expose and change the food industries causing harm that the healthcare industry is profiting heavily.
The best thing for you to do right now is get as educated about the system you are part of as citizens, consumers, and patients of all parties involved in feeding yourself and your families. This conversation hits hard when you realize how inescapable all of this feels.
Calley shares from experience working with big food industries and losing his mother to a succession of foodborne illnesses that have everything to do with food that’s leading to cancer, Alzheimers, heart disease, obesity, autoimmune conditions, and depression.
Thoughts that exposes areas you can start rethinking and changing right away:
$10 billion dollars is transferred in a year from the government to soda companies through food-stamps, part of a nutrition program designed to to help low income families.
Lower income men die 11 years younger than higher income men, largely because of diet
Healthcare, big pharma, food companies, and public policy makers make the solution for metabolic health sound extremely complicated, but it’s really not complicated,it’s just not beneficial for them.
You and everyone around you is being sickened by preventable metabolic dysfunction. Now is the time to get educated and manage your risk and the risks to your family and the environment we live in. This may be the best place to start your research to take action on not being poisoned and blinded by the food and healthcare industry lies. Consuming ultra-processed foods, seed oils, copious amounts of sugar and highly processed grains is not in your best interest.
Food and lifestyle interventions are some of the most effective ways to prevent and heal diseases like Alzheimers, depression, and diabetes. What will you change today to make eating healthy the default for you, your children, and your family?

Calley Means Quotes:
“Cancer, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, obesity, autoimmune conditions, these are all going up and they are all foodborne illnesses, and the fact that there is not clear communication about that from our medical leaders and public policy leaders, I think is the biggest scandal in America and the most dangerous scandal.”
“Today when you hear about the opioid crisis, 80-90% of people that overdose and die from illicit opioids, that started with a prescription pad.”
“Prediabetes is violence occurring to their cells, a child born today has a 45% rate of obesity or being overweight, [...] 40% of 18 year olds right now qualify as having a mental illness.”
“We need to stop recommending poison and stop subsidizing poison and the free market will figure it out.”
“95% of the experts on the USDA nutrition guidelines committee receive personal payments from food and or pharma companies.”
“Americans listen to medical leaders, [...] for better or worse we listen to medical leaders.”
“There’s express lobbying from processed food companies to keep the SNAP contributions low so people can only afford processed food.”

I watched my stepfather waste away from heart disease because of all the crap food he ate, and the sad thing is he never realized it was the food killing him. His favorite meal consisted of fried sausage smothered in butter and peppers on a loaf of white French bread. And for dessert he'd either eat strawberry icecream or a cinnamon bun called BIG TEX. He stuffed his face with bad carbs all day and night. His first heart attack happened at age 44. He lived 30 more years suffering from all sorts of issues with his blood vessels that led to more heart attacks and numerous surgeries. Moral of the story? I learned a lot from him on what NOT to eat. I tried eating the things he ate and lucky for me my gut couldn't take it. Right now I'm mostly sticking with a KETO diet. I'm not perfect with it, but it does help me limit my carbs. And the Keto foods I do eat aren't packed with artificial ingredients like erythritol. Whether it's safe or not, I noticed when I eat erythritol, it upsets my digestive system the entire day.

Using the ''we'' can get very heavy. Just use the ''i'' and ''my familly'' and it will work just fine. You can't control the rest of the world anyway. I know for sure that I'm healthy, I don't drink coffee, no alcohol and I don't care about what the others may do with their own body or health, unless it's my boy and girl of 6 years old, which I assure you are very healthy and not pre-diabetic. In fact, you can live longer and very healthy since internet doesn't stop annyone to get the real info.

though I agree with your perspective, we do need to keep in mind, that lifespan 100 years ago was a lot lower than it is today. However, it is significant that lifespan has been DECREASING over the last 5-7 years in the US. This is alarming and clearly attributable to what's being spoken about in the video.

Yes when living pork meat is natural , When cured with slat, sugar, sodium chloride, sodium nitrate , sodium nitrite ( Prague powder #1 an d#2 ) it gives the meat a pinkish colour whichis attractive to the eye . Naturally cooked pork turns out greyish . Would your kids eat greyish ham for lunch , NOPE

I am a biochemist and molecular biologist. I spent 35 years developing cancer diagnostics. The deeper I went down the rabbit hole, I realized that more and more cancers were cropping up that we needed to diagnose. Then, I got off THAT treadmill and looked to the trickle of research on regenerative agriculture and endocrine disruptors. Mr. Calley is saying what I have been screaming about for years. Now that there is a platform to learn about the corruption of our food/pharma/agri-business systems that is killing us, I feel hopeful--but, habits die hard. People have to WANT to feel better and be healthy.

I've been telling for years we need to abolish this Santa Klaus fraud! Collectively lying to our own children and perpetuating deception every year for every incoming generation. Let's get back to instilling honesty, integrity, and truthfulness within ourselves and towards others. Do away with all ruses, falsehoods, misleadings or we create a generation that unconsciously passes it along to the next. It starts here: End the Fraud that is Santa Klaus! Question why we do what we do and let's build a conscious world!

I met someone last month whose five year old child was suddenly having 100 seizures a day. They went to Boston Children's Hospital which has an excellent reputation, they offered drugs and sent them home and told them to prepare bc their son, who had already forgotten his siblings name and was no longer really moving around, would become "a vegetable." They found the Charlie Foundation on the internet and so they put their kid on the ketogenic diet. Within 24 hour all seizures stopped. When they went back to the hospital they asked why they weren't told about this option. They said, "because it is hard." Seriously?! The father was a war veteran and he said, you know what is hard? War. War is hard. The ketogenic diet is nothing. Their lives are forever changed bc of information they found on the internet but the hospital said nothing. Things are broken.

This is why people need to start questioning everything and be your advocate! Carnivore high fat is truly the optimal way. However, keto is a great start and also learning food intolerances. Sadly babies are born toxic. We are an extension of our mother’s diet in the womb and out! Being a mother of a 26 year old I know I learned a lot in 26 years. It was my daughter getting pneumonia, having ear infections and strep nonstop that led me holistic health. Insulin resistance was the culprit. Until 3 years ago I didn’t realize I actually had it as well. She was diagnosed at 7 years old with insulin resistance. We reversed it with fasting, with her doctor’s blessing. Removing all the junk foods. As an adult she has to be careful how she eats. She does keto, however, she still stress eats. I am doing carnivore 1 month. I have over the past 8 months had a complete health crisis driving me toward carnivore. I thought ok I have to accept I might be going through my change. I found out my thyroid as nose diving quickly! All my hormones were going crazy out of control causing a huge ovarian cyst that would not resolve itself. I do not go to doctors. I do holistic stuff that has improved my life. I saved my ex boyfriend and father from death 7 times between the two. I know holistic health is my calling. However, due to family drama, my father was murdered at the hands of my brothers and big pharma! I worked my butt off the get him healthy as I could while being super careful because of his heart medication and constantly being told by my siblings if he dies I am coming after you! Well those who said it, died because all 3 of them kept him in a nursing home to keep him from Me. He died 40 days in a nursing home. My father made his choice. I told him if he doesn’t make me SOLE healthcare proxy he will end up in a nursing home and die there. He made his choice and said he can’t because my brother’s were constantly manipulating him and lying to him. It crushed me. All he had to do was come back home to me immediately after his colon surgery that I got him through by preparing him and strengthening him via keto and supplements. It was the rat poison, warfarin, that caused the colon cancer . I was trying to get him off of it but his doctors would not do it. I know for a fact carnivore is absolutely the way to reverse all these diseases they are talking about. I experienced all the symptoms my father was and I am adopted! It was lack of nutrients for me due to a gallbladder/liver issues that was brewing causing SIBO, autoimmune etc. i experience every symptom he had including not being able to walk one day. We have a moving business. I was working daily moving customers. Moving the attics and basements of customers. All of a sudden I could hardly move. I started working on my blood work. B12, iron and ferritin. That helped get me out of bed! That was when I realized my father’s MD was actually a B 12 deficiency! Statins cause B12 deficiency. He was also an alcoholic. Every issue I validated I was on the right path with my father. I did right by him. I know for a fact he would have been fine if he came him and didn’t get the 💉💉. Fast forward, after changing doctors I found out all my problems were due to a congested liver/gallbladder. Within 1 week on carnivore and drinking baking soda my gallbladder went from being round like a ball to normal shape with gallstones. I had a cT scan one week before the ultrasound. My dr was shocked along with radiologist. I came right out and told my dr I am keeping all my body parts! They wanted to remove my gall bladder and Gyno wanted to remove ovary since I am 54. I said no. Both make hormones. I’m not giving that up. One month later, going from possible ovarian cancer and gallbladder disease to completely reversing my markers, I showed them you can reverse disease. My female parts are perfect. We will be following up next week with bloodwork for ovarian cancer, thyroid and liver/gall bladder. I will continue with carnivore. I will add in fasting once again after I make sure my bile ducts are cleared. I just did a liver cleanse last night. This is my second one in a month. It was in fact the very thing that prevented surgery! I removed over 200 gallstones the last cleanse. It has been 20 years since I did them prior. I am definitely going to do them regularly again until they are gone! If you have them in your gallbladder you have them in your liver! I have a 2.5 cm lesion on my liver. He said it didn’t show up on ultrasound. It is there. I can feel it. Supposedly this causes all my muscle weakness and pelvic pain. All I know is carnivore is keeping all the pain away! It will correct he SIBO and autoimmune. It will balance my hormones! I know because I watched numerous videos specifically reversing each diagnosis I have! Back to basics is the way to go!!!! Lol. I just typed this, back to basics, and he just said that in the video!!!!! God has been telling me this for months! I completely agree with this guy! We need to change our diets starting with our children, grandchildren etc. My doctor said he is intrigued. I know he wants info on what I am doing. He is researching things. He wants resources. I know he is genuine! He has 3 little ones. Between my father and my health issues and my turn around so quickly, I have his attention. He is very young. New to our town. He is a good guy!

My daughter had absence seizures-a much milder form of epilepsy. They wanted to do brain surgery on my 8 year old. I freaked out! Visited a functional doctor who put her on a ketogenic diet. There was a six month wait for her appt with the UCLA brain surgeon for a preop appt. In the interim, we did the diet. She hated every minute of it! When we got to UCLA, the tests showed no seizures. We’d also seen few if any over the previous 6 months. The UCLA docs were baffled. She just turned 21 and has no seizures. No brain surgery either.

"Medicine" in the medical industry is evil, just look where it comes from and or who produces it along with the companies backgrounds. Phizer, Bayer, Johnson and Johnson, etc all have very sorted and wicked histories along with many other huge corperations like Nestlé, Colgate, etc and here is a good question to ask; if the government actually cares for it's people and our "health" then why do they allow toxins in our foods and literally to the extent that it is nearly impossible or we will say very much so a definite task to avoid those toxins, high sugar content, and so on. Why are there chemicals on the inside of containers that cause sterility amongst other health issues while other countries say like RUSSIA have band these things and even made a spectical of it dosing American products into huge holes as a dump because that's what it amounts to is trash. Skin products, "anti-aging products" and cosmetics along with even baby lotions riddled with poisons toxic to our bodies that absorb very quickly into the skin and the environment, lol. If they cared about the environment why do they genetically mutate animals and plants to the point of mutation nevermind just the point of changing what is natural is contradictory to "caring for the environment" in itself. We have come to live in a corrupt world where the people and entities we are supposed to be able to most trust have no culpability and do not have to answer to their "mistakes" or even blatant wrongs/crimes and are even revel in them while the people are so brainwashed they can't even see them or do not care if they do because many people have grown cold, bitter, and callous allowing lawlessness in their midst if not spreading it themselves. The signs are everywhere of corruption and the true Drs, holistic practitioners are the ones to look to as well educating yourself to these things so you are aware and healthy as well your families and communities. Spread the good information even if it happens to be exposing the bad. Godbless to all those who care about and for others just as they do themselves.

First of all they ignore completely success of holistic and not mainstream treatment (so I have plenty of clients seeking for alternative treatment and unhappy about prescribing only painkillers and making patients dependent and frigile;) they don't see connection between food and health;) and they are very unsuccessful in treatment of chronic condition. This is why I suppose that this is only the matter of time that this healthcare service collapses;) we will see...

Not just sugar but salt as well. I was recently put on a low-sodium diet ("try to get as close to 500 mg a day but definitely no more than 1500") and on a recent grocery store trip, I realized after reading labels, that there is no way I can possibly get much below 1000 mg per day if I eat ANY kind of processed/"heat and eat" foods. So, the only processed foods I will eat somewhat on the regular from now on will be pasta and bread. Everything other than fresh or frozen produce will be homemade; luckily I'm retired and I have the time to cook from scratch.

@@LK-pc4sq I know the issue. I also learned to deal with my own body and health and not 'preach' to anyone. It's hard because you don't want to see anyone sick, in constant pain, slow moving and living in the doctor's office. I find if people want to change, want information, I give the short version, tell them to start somewhere and if they need help, I am here. Coming out of this brainwashing is hard work and when you are conditioned that things have to be easy, carefree and instantaneous, along with no self accountability, many people are not going to try to change, that is the reality. It's like something said to me many years ago. I am vegetarian for many years, and this person said, "She was too but she eats chicken and fish." I said nothing in response.

What is even worse is sugar feeds cancer cells. There is an ice cream parlor in the childrens cancer hopital. Sickening. First they make us sick, then they make money on treating us. That’s crazy!! I’m so sorry! I’ve heard a few stories and my father actually knows more than 1 friend that actually cured their cancer by totally cutting out sugar! That’s nearly all they did and they got better!! It was a while back but I had tried the all raw food diet for a short period of time (it wasn’t easy!) And my family was having a spaghetti night dinner and so I ate it after about 7-9 weeks of only eating raw foods, no sugar! I was literally snaking on raw zucchini 😂! But I was so amazed by how terrible the spaghetti dinner made me feel! And I was in my early 20s at that point but 1 spaghetti dinner made my entire body hurt so bad!! It’s like we don’t even realize how yucky we actually feel daily!! Just from the regular food we eat! I hope your father pulled through!! 😕 I’m sorry his nurse sucked! Most of the medical professionals are very brainwashed.

As someone switching to a Keto diet, I've literally never been healthier or slimmer. I eat once, maybe twice a day, but it's fresh vegetables and 8 oz of meat and it's all home cooking. I make my own tomato sauce, roasted red pepper sauce, veggie dip, roasted, satled nut mix, and sugar free lattes. I know exactly what's going into my food and because it's real food, I'm noticing hunger cues maybe for the first time in my life. My bad cholesterol plummeted and my sugar levels plummeted. I recently tried to drink a 6 oz can of ginger ale and I had to dilute it into a regular club soda, it was so sickingly sweet. Yes, Keto is hard; no breakfast donuts, no Mickey D French fries, no mocha lattes, but also no acid reflux, no heartburn, no sugar crashes. Your body is the only thing you truely own outright, we have to treat ourselves better.

The lunches I saw served to patients were absolute garbage. All processed foods. And they had nowhere on the campus to buy fruit or anything healthy. Many of those people were abandoned there to the most part. The place has since closed because of abuse of patients. Lunch was usually meatloaf or fried chicken, watched mamaw ring many a head off of chickens😃,Carrots, green beans, beets, okra, fresh corn, Fresh churned butter, corn bread and homemade mollasses. Supper was pinto beans, cornbread, chow chow, sliced tomatoes, fried potatoes and onions, turnips, turnip greens, vinegar. Sometimes Polk salad with eggs in early summer time. Give or take an occasional mess of fresh catfish or frog legs. Which was my favorite, that is what I remember eating with him all my life which I'm 48 now. He passed away at 97 & 1/2. Drove his old truck up to his last 3 or 4 months. He never had any mentionable sickness. He got up before sun rise worked outside all day went to bed when it got dark. I sure miss you! I also find it incredulous because we’d as a rule, never equate restaurant food with anything healthy. What we urbanites eat here is never older than 5+ hours. Never batch cook. Our restaurant food is vastly different from what we eat at home. And I can say with confidence that people in our villages eat healthier than folks like us in the city. This man makes me want to connect with that part of our culture. But today, our urbanites and people from villages flock to malls and restaurants to savour the burgers and sandwiches; our wedding menus feature pasta (not the Italian kind) 3 ways… Canola and rice bran oil are marketed as healthy. Just a generation back, ghee and non-seed oils were our cooking fat. Marketing has destroyed our way of life.

I am so glad that this video popped up in my feed. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer (at 53), and thought that I lived a fairly “healthy” life, but had been doing keto for many years, ingesting processed keto foods (protein bars, snacks, desserts, etc.), not taking in nearly enough fresh fruits or vegetables. Long story short, I 100% believe that food can change everything, with all of the research that I’ve done. I continue to educate myself and hope that others do too. I’ve read countless stories about cancer survivors who are thriving now, having changed their diet to more of a plant-based one, instead of a processed one. This video was so enlightening, and it all makes sense! It’s so sad (and disgusting) that people’s health is really only about how much money can be made off of us by food companies, corporations and big pharma. Disgusting, but thank you for putting this out there and exposing the truth.

I can completely relate. I live in a community where the elderly were terrified so I grocery shopped for them and ultimately they ended up treating me like dirt because they wanted me to spray down all of their food and then hand wipe each item with Lysol or Clorox spray and it just became such a neurotic request that I stopped the whole thing altogether. I never believed in wearing the masks so I refused and I certainly didn’t believe in wearing gloves and yet these people who I was trying to help were demanding that I wear gloves while in the grocery store, which is so ridiculous because the gloves could touch the virus and then the germ could touch the item so it provides no safety whatsoever but the media did a job on their mind, which they all had lost. People became mean and critical and demanding. This had to have been some type of sick psychological experiment.

I have been working as a consultant pharmacist for nursing homes for the past 5 years and after reviewing thousands of patient charts/labs, reversing a rare disease called eosinophilic esophagitis (without medications) that doctors cannot explain, I have come to one conclusion: you can buy good health from the farmer on the frontend, or ATTEMPT to buy back your health from the pharmacy on the backend.

That explains why soft drinks aren't taxed for food stamp recipients. It's true. If you pay with cash or debit card, the store will add sales tax. If you pay with a EBT SNAP card, there is no added tax. The very fact that the government allows soda to be purchased with the food stamp card shows that they're catering to the soft drink industry.

I have lost weight over two years, slowly, by shifting to restricted time eating and removing 95% of processed foods from my home. I buy single ingredient foods. When some friends and family notice I have lost weight, they ask…. “You aren’t going to lose more weight are you?” Funny. When I was eating processed foods uncontrollably, suffering from heartburn and gaining weight, no one asked me, “how much weight I was hoping to gain?” Admitting aloud that I had a sugar addiction was dealt with uncomfortable silence. Folks continued to offer desserts, ice cream, etc. Then I decided I was being too subtle. When they offered me sweets and I reminded them of my sugar addiction I asked, “If I had told you that I had a cocaine addiction, would they still offer me cocaine?” The folks that required this additional window into my addiction, have never offered sweets again.

My parents both had bad dementia and spent their last couple years at an upper-scale retirement home. The amount of sugar they (my parents and all residents) were fed was stunning. And with their dementia they tended to JUST eat the sugar. There was ALWAYS dessert and every fun event seemed to include 'treats.' So between the sugar, the lack of walking and exercise and all the strong drugs they were taking, am sure their dementia was vastly increased & hastened. I tried to help in the background but then I was not allowed to enter the facility because I was considered dangerous (all family members not allowed in during Covid times).

I suffered bad auto immune issues regarding allergies/inflammation when younger and a lot asthma based complications that landed me in the hospital for months at a time. The doctors just kept pushing meds ranging from half a dozen puffers, corticosteroids, etc and then added on sedatives/stomach acid meds to offset the side effects of the drugs. It resulted in me taking 8 different types of medication and eventually I just gave up on the medical industry entirely because life just kept getting worse. I took on the mindset of "I'll get better as nature intended or I'll dying trying in the process, either way it's better than living like this". Went full force into training (weights, running, swimming, yoga, martial arts, etc) and eliminated all foods that I knew seemed to be triggers to allergy events or discomfort, ate only the basics of food and monitored my macro/micro nutrient intakes. It was a brutal challenge but within a year I went from barely able to walk up a set of stairs within breathing issues, sleep apnea and constant fatigue to gaining 25lbs of muscle, running 10km in competitive times, sleep issues disappeared, massive improvement in mood, digestion and daily function. 2yr later I was only on a daily med for allergies with an on hand puffer for emergency use (rarely used). When I went back to the doctor for a check up after having not been there for over 6 months, he had the audacity to tell me that I was training too much and that it could make my asthma attacks worse and that is was unwise to not take the preventative medications; It didn't matter how many nutritional studies I brought him or explained to him the basic interactions, he refused to listen. I soon after dropped him as a physician and dealt directly with specialists which I would only see twice a year just for updates on health management. The entire "food industry" is corrupt and in bed with both the medical industry and the politicians that govern it.

So true. I often comment that we're all too big and I get death stares. On one hand people used to be absolute dirt and shamed and abused overweight people but then the backlash put us in a space where now we can't have a reasonable discussion about the fact that excess weight is unhealthy and puts people at risk.

What he said about kid’s birthday parties is so true! Adults don’t offer that amount of crap in their own birthday parties. I have 3 children, ages 6,8 and 9. And I offer a MEAL instead of crappy snacks. They love it! I even had to create a menu sample for the other parents because they loved it too! I just explained: they come here to play, run, jump and have fun. Not to overeat crappy snacks. And yes, they do eat sweet treats. But good quality, wether I cook them or I get them from a lady who bakes healthy pastries, with real chocolate not fat tinted brown with artificial flavors (healthier and I help an entrepreneur). It’s a dream that every parent would understand how important is nutrition, specially for little kids.

PEOPLE....PLEASE listen to this man!! He is telling us the truth. I have taught in kindergarten classrooms for 30 years. The rates of childhood obesity, especially, but not limited to, our poorest students is increasing at a scary amount. What is even WORSE are the great numbers of children with significant developmental delays. The current group we have has the greatest challenges I have ever seen in 30 years. If we want to save our country, our world, we need to save our kids. And they are ALL OUR kids. Every child must be cared for by the greater community. And don't even start me on the breakfast and lunch sugar trays we are feeding our kids!!

I homeschooled my 6 kids, I taught them the same way my teachers did in the 60's and 70's . I am 67 a d I still have what I was tauggt back then . My kids ate all food made from scratch , went food shopping with me . They never met a food they didn't like , including broccoli and beans with garlic. Family members didn't like that we wouldn't let them drink soda and have tons of candy . I see kids now a days who cannot sit still and focus for even a few moments . I cringe when I see screens stuck in front of infants . We spoke to our kids and I read to them every night before bed even after they could read on their own , we listened to narrated stories on cassette tapes . They knew how to behave when we took them out to eat in real, sit down restaurants. We would always get looks when we walked in with them . Respect and courtesy were as much a part of our homeschoolung as were the core subjects. Surprisingly it was the adults in the restaurant who were loud . Bless you for teaching .

@@CalleyMeans-be6bm No, thank YOU, sir!! It's reassuring to come across someone who's had the same paradigm shift I did, regarding this metabolic syndrome epidemic being perpetrated upon the American population, and the world.. It's one thing to say, "Change your diet for longevity", but quite another thing to say, "The food, medical, and pharmaceutical industries have taken so much from us already. You're not going to just let them continue to do this to you and your family, are you?". Fear, over time, loses its effect to motivate change, but anger is a very different motivation that results when the matter is framed properly and accurately and people realize countless family members suffered and even died as a result of our manufactored ignorance funded by the sugar, meat, egg and dairy industries. Why aren't any lawsuits being filed against the procesed food corporations by the insurance industry? With this being a matter of national security, the lack of attention this epidemic receives leads me to conclude refined sugars, refined carbs, and animal products are being used as a form of population control. Educating the public about what's healthy to eat, and the persuasive and manipulative tactics used to sell inferior products to an unsuspecting population is the best we can hope for. The market shifted from , "Let's sell it to the public", to "Let's use it ON the public."

He is so right!! My dad who lives in Italy is 97 years old, and everytime I call him up he tells me how his doctor either prescribed him carnitine to help him get stronger, or valerian drops to help him sleep. I am familiar with the Italian health system as I grew up there until I was 28. In comparison the US medical system is totally evil, but it comes down to the fact that a large section of health care is privatized and the profits go to the insurance companies, the medical facilities, dictors and nurses make 3-4 times what they make in Europe, but over there doctors and nurses benefit from free college ( graduate and post graduate) except the cost of the required books, they dont have to earn as much to pay off hundreds of thousands of dollars back. The corruption of the American health system starts with the drugs companies, the health insurance companies, the politicians whi get campaign donations from these companies and line their pockets, the givernemwnt who allows lobbysts to corrupt the system. In Europe the governments have a strong interest in keeping people healthy because is the government that pays up when people are sick. It's a simple as that, but Americans are fed the false story that Universal health care is bad, they scare you away with all sorts of lies, but of course the are, they don't want their money flow to stop right?? By the way, I grew up eating the Mediterranean diet, no snacking between meals, but a piece of cake every now and then was ok, or a Gelato. One more thing that no one talks about is American milk, which comes mostly if not all from cows that produce milk with A1 beta casein. This casein is detrimental to peoples health, is very bad for the heart, and it causes diabetes, and inflammation of the immune system, plenty of studies on it. Why not use the breed of cows that is mostly used in southern Europe? This would be A2. Maybe you could do a video on American milk??
@elizabethtencer7950
@elizabethtencer7950 Жыл бұрын
Why do they produce A1 beta casein cows in America? Simple, A1cows give much more milk then the heritage cows in Europe. And the corruption in the USA and Canada starts with the lobbing system that means legalized corruption.

Last week I went full carnivore and saw this video a few days later. Very timely. I'm still struggling with carb and sugar cravings, but I'm committed to giving this diet a real chance. I'm tired if feeling sick, lethargic, getting sick easily due to a weakened immunity, and losing about 15 Lbs would be nice. In general, it's truly about health. I grew up in 80s. Truth is most people were thin back then. Very few folks were obese. The stats were that 15% of Americans were obese in 80s. Now it's 42%. How in the hell does that happen in just 40 years??? Food industry took all the good fats out of food, substituted refined sugars and ingredients we aren't meant to process (highfructose corn syrup) in the food and make processed food and fast food as addicting as possible. It's disturbing and awful that our food isn't healthy for us.

I was diagnosed as pre-diabeties last November. My doctor immediately wanted to put me on drugs. I was shocked into blurting out "aren't there lifestyle changes I can make!" She said yes but I was distracted that it wasn't a choice given to me to begin with. She gave me a referral to a nutritionist and lots of papers about sugar and hidden sugars. I went home and Googled it and stumbled on many doctors online KZbin who had sensible advice. I have since stopped eating most sugar, never thought i could drink black coffee! I have lost 20 pounds and feel so much better. I eat grass fed, humanely raised meat and dairy, as well as nuts, healthy oil and fat and fresh veggies but minimize all sugar, seed oil and processed food intake, though hard during Mango season. I still have a drink at the weekend. Especially my anxiety had diminished substantially. Thank you for sharing this information, as a sociologist, it is very interesting and I'm glad you are getting this information out from this perspective - what the food industry and big pharm are doing to make money at the expense of the people. However, I told her that I am willing to make lifestyle changes with diet and exercise. She wants to see me in a couple of months, so we’ll see how it goes. But if I have to, I will switch doctors in order to be in control of my own health and my own choices regarding my health. My mothers have all kinds of issues on this medication and I have other people in my family have not been able to take it. This is great information. Love the approach of telling people that they are in control of their outcomes. As a registered dietitian, I see patients every day that are not being empowered that they can change. I try to be that cheerleader to get them to change. Also the ketogenic diet is very well documented in children that have epilepsy to get seizure control. I have worked with parents who wanted ketogenic diet for their children to get seizure control. Everyone needs “informed consent” for every treatment which means providing ALL OPTIONS, not just what the physician thinks you should do. I've been eating sugar free, seed oil free and whole foods exclusively without cheat days for about 18 years now. It really does change how your brain works, and quitting sugar feels like kicking a powerful drug habit. If anyone out there feels mentally unfocused, has mood swings, bad temper, all that stuff, diet and exercise will cure you. And if it doesn't, you're fitter and healthier, so what's the downside in giving it a try for a few months? Regarding raising kids (~50:00) I personally didn't forbid these things, but they also weren't purchased and eaten in the home. I tried practicing what he mentions with regards to educating and allowing my child to exercise their own free will to choose not to eat these things rather than feel they're forbidden. My hypothesis was, having observed people from my childhood whose parents vegan and other things, was that if you are too overbearing with this or many other things, the child will get to adulthood and realise you aren't in charge anymore, and overindulge to compensate. This approach worked in my experience, with diet but also with raising someone independent who I feel little anxiety about navigating the world alone, as they have been making educated and informed independent decisions long before the age of 18. Thanks for reading my shitty blog.

State attorney generals need to go after the soda industry in the same way they went after the tobacco industry. I understand England has a tax on soda in order to reduce consumption. I've been shocked for years that food stamps allow soda and other junk food. I've quit sugar and white flour and feel 100% better. I no longer see MDs and have switched to functional medicine doctors.

They would never go after the soda industry because they are being paid by the industries and corporations. The government has been corrupted and paid for by the corporations for decades.

They instead should start going after Kindergarten, School and College Lunches instead. They should also teach little kids about Health and Nutrition from age 3-4 and Demand All Parents to prepare Home Made Nutritional Food with Lots of Raw Veggies and Leafy Greens and Protein.

yea right.. attourney generals are as crooked as they come. They are politicized roles and there are dozens of rackets they flat out dont stop regardless of the body count.

Lobbyists stop progress. Most of them are former FDA employees. They just switch sides.

I have nearly eliminated the seed oils. I have finally found a recipe for mayonnaise that I actually like and can make it myself. I am about 60% rid of processed sugar. Eliminated high fructose corn syrup long ago when I gave up sodas. I read a book called DEEP NUTRITION that got me on this journey. It is hard to find ways around this mess without breaking the bank but it can be done. I took the idea that "Food is Medicine" and rebalanced the budget accordingly. I am feeling better daily. I expect to be walking again by the end of the year.
