Great real life information by someone that's actually put the time & miles in on this bike. After a week with the same bike, I've decided to stick with my 411 because it's better on fuel...always 80+mpg & the 32lb of torque is more & feels more right through the rev range, making it super tractable from the very technical walking speeds all the way to 6,000rpm. I also like the ruggedness, ease of use, serviceability & position of the 411 more. Not much in either bike, but my 411 is less revy & very comfortable for me. The brakes on the 450/52 are better, though aftermarket pads improve the 411 brakes.

@@forgottenmotorcycles Just watching your comparison between your 2021 411 & the 2022 411. My latest is the late 2023/24 with some sensible extras & it's a pure joy every time I ride it. I will probably keep it forever. I stay off the highways as much as possible & for everything I do, I don't think the 450/52 will improve my riding or do it any better. An amazing bike that I think RE ought to have continued to produce. I think they could have still brought out the 450/52 but called it another name. The market is big enough for both bikes, I feel.

With you on all those points. Don't own either myself but a guy I know here in the UK runs a motorbike adventure company and takes groups all over the world, he has all the current small capacity bikes produced by all manufactures i his inventory ranging from the Triumph 400 through Honda 300 to everything else made by Chinese companies, (some of which are really excellent value for money products) to offer his clients, but he is adamant that is the original 411 is the better adventure bike over the 450. He has no dog in the fight as he has both and I respect his un-biased professional opinion. Personally speaking, I think the 411 is one of the boldest and most radical motorcycle designs of all time and whenever I walk past one, I am forced to pause just to look at it's purposeful and yet somehow, totally cool design, whereas the 450 leaves me cold, it might as well be a generic Chinese bike, but yet not actually as good as the best of them.

That 452 fits in a niche that's really not being addressed by the market. A highway worthy light adventure bike. The wisdom of the internet says it has an assist/slipper clutch. Just for fun I tried to make the worst downshift I could on my INT. It worked perfectly. No chirp. No drama. Does the fuel cap ring have bolts in it? I’m a huge fan of SW Motech tank bags. I got one for the Pan America that was actually for an R1200GS. I had to buy SAE (American) size screws for it because we still can’t figure out the metric system. I now have their waterproof model on my BMW RT. I would guess that the 17litre tank= 4.49092 US Gallons = 3.73948 imperial gallons would be correct but probably put the bike on the mainstand to fill to the top. Haven't got used to the 'falling over' sidestand feel after the near upright sidetstand on my bmw R1200RS and wonder how good it will feel on a fully loaded bike with camping gear etc. Still have only 200 miles on mine, have to wait two weeks to get the first service at 311 miles, so glad I have a second bike to use. Sticking to the 4000rpm running in for now and will observce the 6000rpm limit to 1200miles per owners manual but at this slow use I have the mpg stuck at 99.9 so over 100mpg using 99 octane rather than any e10/20 95 octane cheap supermarket fuel. Also look at Kriega US drybags 20L & 30L or 40L.The 40L can compress to 28L cause it opens at eithe end.You can use the Kriega bags like Lego 30L on bottom & 20L on top or one each side. They do a OS fuel container bag that Legos to bags but it only holds 2 1L metal containers as the Nelson Rigg or Oxford make similar fuel container bag that has Molle straps & attach to the Kriega bags but are single container but container is 1.5L but you can add 2-4 singles to Kriega bags. The 1500ml metal containers are better as you can only fill them up to 1380ml to stop spillage over tank & 1L containers fills to 880ml they have a line to fill upto so you don't spill over tank. Also 1500ml container is hood size for water bottle & get blue metal container for water which you can add ice too & will stay chilled for ages. There are cheaper tail bags but they're either only water resistant or quality as not as good. Rhinowalk do a clone of Kriega for half the price but nowhere as good & won't last as long & zips bust & material cuts easier.Kriega bags are thicker material thicker metal buckles better waterproof & come with 10yr warranty. The 40L that shrinks to 28L has a pocket for tent poles. The 30L bag will fit your Tent ⛺️ sleeping bag,air mattress, Chair & a few other small bits. Then add a 1-2 10L to carry your clothes & cooking gear or 20L on top of 30L.

1000 miles in 1 day on that thing! Wow... you must be made of Cast Iron. No way I could do. IM like 5 hours into a ride an ready for a camp!

When you’re riding as you stated, ‘about as fast as the bike would go’ then yes, your fuel consumption spikes (specialist subject…”the obvious”😂).

Hi there! I am saying this with the deepest respect, but I think the title is misleading. People clicking on your video come here expecting to read about "big problems" of the bike, yet you close almost all of your points with "not a big issue", "just a minor issue" or something in those lines. And your overall feeling of the bike is positive. The problem is that with all the google crawling and AI sentiment extraction algorithms out there, titles like this may affect ratings and suggestions provided by chat GPT bots and the like. I am not implying that this is a case of a click-bate title, and if there is a hidden word play in the title with the "wait what yahoo" I am not getting it. But then again, I should not have to. I would love to hear your point of view, and perhaps your critique on my comments. Cheers, and ride safe!!!

I started this list of issues on the first day I got this bike. These are the biggest problems I'm encountered so far...but I'll keep looking...and riding the bike hard. Yes, the title is facetious...it's meant to be fun. The thumbnail even has the word fanboy in it. 800 mile ride on this bike today. If something "Big" happens, I'll report. Life is good. Wahoo!

Save your money and don't buy the touring seat. I got one for my 411 and though I could see what they did to make it "touring", my backside couldn't tell the difference. Seat Concepts makes one for the 411, so I am sure a seat for the 452 is on the way.

BIG problems? No, that`s all minor issues. A big problem would be something like camshafts wearing out within a few thousand kilometers. But that doesnt happen of course on modern bikes, does it? 😂 You should also mention how tall you are if you find the ergonomics ctamped.

The things that you listed as short comings are not short comings. You're whining about things that just don't suit you! From reading the headline, I thought that you had found a major problem with this bike but after listening to your list, the problems are things that you haven't adjusted the bike to or problems that you hadn't adjusted to. You sound like my ex-wife!
