This video was filmed in March of 2005 in Deadwood, South Dakota. I am one of the people in the crowd. My wife and I were on a vacation in Rapid City and stopped in Deadwood on our way home. When we got there they were just starting to film the balcony scene. So the outside stuff is on Main St and outside one of the main hotels. The inside scenes may have been somewhere else but the outside shots on Main St. and from the balcony were in Deadwood.

The little tavern is not in Deadwood SD. It is in Rochford SD, about 10 miles outside of town. Soon to be my new home with a population of 9. But, I great little place with the Small Of America right across the street. That's right The SMALL of America. great little store with great people. Check it out if you travel there. Beautiful area of stream and the Mickleson Tail 109 miles of hiking and biking that runs from Sturgis to Custer SD.

I just realized the bar the guy walks into at t=25 sec is the Moonshine Gulch Saloon in Rochford, SD. Drank many a beer there. John Crane has a great painting of the MGS. Many of the early scenes in the video are of main street Deadwood, SD, ie the historic Franklin Hotel.
