Hi and Welcome to our Channel.
I’m Alicia and my wife’s name is Pleshette. Our doggie's name is Charlie!
We are a married couple and full time RVers based out of Southern California. We have been on the road since November 21st 2020. We sold our house in Southern California during the 2020 pandemic and decided to start this journey a year earlier than planned.
We are nomads. We travel the roads between, to live near and play in the National Parks and beautiful spaces in these United States.
We have a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 399TH. We are 43.5' long. (Really is 44’)
And one of the things we've found to be a bit of 'an adventure' is finding truly 'BIG RIG' friendly RV parks and resorts. There are a lot of them that tell you they are, and when you arrive you find a few things that are more challenging than expected and had we known more we could prepare.
Big difference between a 44’ triple axle, 5th wheel and a 22’ truck vs. a 44 foot class A with a detachable ’toad’, tow vehicle. The maneuvering and mechanics are just different.
This video series will give you the 5th wheel perspective. In this series, we give our review of the places we've stayed and our BIG RIG Friendly review of those parks. At the end we’ll tell you if we give it a thumbs up or not.

Yes, I did drive by that Casino and RV Park in Coos Bay, OR but did not stay. Had a spot further north at a State Park campground which was great. That being said there was a great view of the water as I recall and it seemed nice. Food trucks? Missed that. Your rule of thumb on the drive time falls within the Rule of 333 for sure. Nice! Lots of great stuff to do in the area. Good Eats there too! The package thing was different for sure. I'd check with them on that. I don't recall it being just 1 hour but it was definitely odd and we had to keep track of it since we were there so long. Have fun and say hi to Amy at the Sweet Waffle truck over in the food court.
