Hello Mark!! We have been watching your videos for awhile to help us find free camping. Your videos always have so much helpful information. We try to offer a lot of info as well on our videos. Love how you show where the spots are on the map... Keep up the good work as we will be using your videos when we start traveling in a couple months! Thanks! 💙Terry and Terri

We saw a bit of Western Arkansas last spring, Next time we'll have to check out the east side of the state. Possibly after the Quartzsite Truck Camper Rally and a couple of the various other meetups. Too much fun to miss. You ought to plan to come out this year if it can be in your stars. Take care Mark...

Thanks Jeff! I wish I could make it to Quartzsite this year. I'm definitely going to get out there next winter. I'm slowly gearing up now for my trip out west. Can't wait! Safe Travels!

1st time watching. Well done. I just bought a place in the country north by northwest of Mountain Home. Leaving the state of Illinois-a-stan, not Chitcago. Lived for a time in the eastern Ozarks, the Shawnee National Forrest of southern Illinois. Looking forward to learning about Arkansas.

Water does seem a little low but still some nice spots. Seems like a lot of dispersed camping in Arkansas. That’s a nope rope…danger noodle 🐍 😂
@DispersedCamperMan3 ай бұрын
Arkansas does have lots of dispersed camping spots, especially in the Ouachita's and Ozarks. That was definitely a Nope Rope. LOL It was probably just taking an afternoon nap.

Very nice place Mark! the swimming hole would be real good too. Hey, I got the Starlink mini and so far it works great! only a couple pounds, it runs on 12v also, you have to get an additional cord for it tho but worth it, the modem is built in so only 1 cord you need, it is a double sided barrel connector cord, to get it to work on 12v you need a barrel connector extension then a barrel to USB C to plug it into a power source with usb C (usb C will handle the extra power needed to handle the boost in power at startup, reg usb wont handle that) but i cant wait to take it on the road, it will make a huge difference. I know you are happy with yours & you prolly get faster speeds but this Mini works for me. Thanks!
@DispersedCamperMan3 ай бұрын
I've been keeping an eye on those mini's. When my version 2 starlink goes out, I'll probably be getting the mini. Keep me updated on how you like the mini in your travels.

I have camped in Arkansas for years an like you most of the time alone. Enjoy your videos I am looking for places that I can get a midsize class C in to without hitting limbs. Thanks for you post I am from north La.
@DispersedCamperMan3 ай бұрын
Not hitting limbs is the trick question. LOL My camper had pin striping up and down it trying to find that elusive spot to camp. I just think of them as trophies. Safe Travels!

Hey Mark! Are there any spots close to the swimming holes that can accommodate 3 vehicles?
@DispersedCamperManАй бұрын
Yes. At the second swimming hole with the jumping cliffs you could fit several vehicles there at this time stamp 12:19 . At this time of year, there are very little water in the creeks, it's been a dry year. There is also zero cell service at this spot. Click the link and it'll take you to the spot in the video I'm talking about. 35.252643, -93.516467

Hi Mark. Nice video. Like seeing the surrounding area of where we live. Leah and I have visited several of your locations. What is the average range of your E Bike? I know it depends on the terrain. Stay cool, buddy.
@DispersedCamperMan3 ай бұрын
This is my main ebike, it gets 45-80 miles per charge. It all depends on how high I have the pedal assist at. In my left pannier bag, I have a spare battery, so I can go double this range.

What’s weirdest/scariest experiences you’ve had while dispersed camping?
@DispersedCamperMan3 ай бұрын
I can't recall ever having a weird or scary moment out camping. I am pretty hard to scare. I have been mad, due to RV'ers setting up camp 20 feet away from me when there is 100,000+ acres they could have parked other then right next to me. LOL

This video will be helpful to a lot of people. I recently looked at camping in Ozark National Forest and the NFS website was really not helpful at all.

Got almost 600 miles on it. No issues except the controller will over heat every so often if I'm climbing a steep hill continuously and it'll shut down. I just have to stop and let the controller cool down, then it'll turn back on. Saber Fat Tire Electric Bike for Adults, 1000W (Peak 1200W) Mountain Electric Bicycle amzn.to/3XcpM7T

Ouachita Mountains not the Ozarks.
@DispersedCamperMan3 ай бұрын
@@stevet.5366 most folks who aren’t familiar with the area falsely think Mount Magazine WMA is part of the Ouachita’s since they are so close to the Ouachita’s. In fact, Big Shoals Creek is part of Mt Magazine WMA which puts in square dab in the Ozarks. www.stuttgartdailyleader.com/mount-magazine-wma-is-a-little-of-everything/
@stevet.53663 ай бұрын
@DispersedCamperMan no sir. I am from around there and Mt. Magazine is in the Ouachita mountains. It is on the south side of the river valley. Physiographically, Mount Magazine is part of the Frontal Ouachita Mountains, and is part of the Arkansas River Valley ecoregion. It lies within a southern extension of the Ozark National Forest close to the Ouachita National Forest.
@stevet.53663 ай бұрын
It is part of the Ozark Nat. forest but in the Ouachita mountain range.
@DispersedCamperMan3 ай бұрын
Which is exactly what I said. In the Ozark National Forest. Not the Ouachita National Forest. There are no Ouachita Mountains in the Ozarks. They stop at the border of the Ozarks.
