Mate, that’s another great result and another great video. I’m wondering if you could help some of us who are yet to have much success on plastics. In a future video, or over a few, it would be great if you could talk about what you look for on the sounder, talk about how you decide which plastic to use, and show the full cycle- your cast, how you hop and time the retrieve, the catch, as well as showing the deckie’s usual critical inspection and the release. Most of your great clips start with the fish being hooked, but it might be handy to see once or twice what comes before that. I know there are lots of fishing videos out there, but yours are authentic and you’re not trying to flog anything off. Anyway, just a thought.

First off, thanks for all your comments and constructive criticism, I really appreciate it, and it all helps me make better videos, and I’m always working on making the editing process better, it’s the main thing I struggle with. Now usually I just put the hookup and the fight in, purely because the videos get way too long, and unfortunately I have no wifi at my house, so I have to upload over 4G, and that can take up to 6 hours for me, the original edit for this video was over 50 minutes long, there was probably 10-15 fish that didn’t even make the cut. Thankfully though I have a video that’ll be out in 2-3 weeks all about my setup, what I look for, and how targeting bream is the best base for lure fishing the bay. I only started fishing lures about 4 years ago and I started off with bream, and by catching flathead, snapper, trevally and heaps more as bycatch, I figured out so many different species by targeting the humble bream. So in short, it’s coming and I’ll keep trying to make the videos more informative, cheers for your continued support. 🍻

great catch wish I could catch some that size, I fish Caboolture river and the bay but rarely catch a decent fish.

I have a couple mates that fish Caboolture regularly and do pretty well on the jacks, Jew and flathead, bit of an underrated system, but just like all rivers, you have to put a lot of time in to figure them out, and they can be very condition dependant.

Yea they moved a little, it was actually Chris and Naomi, I understand cause I was on the school and getting heaps while they were struggling trying to fish the edges, but that’s the advantage I get waking up and getting to the spot an hour earlier than them, it’s frustrating, but I understand
