Hey Rob! Welcome back. Good to see you out again doing what you do best from the boat. I started watching now but I will watch the rest in the morning and enjoy it more after only getting 5 minutes in.

Hey mate , stumbled across your channel and realised that you built a couple of sheds for me which are still going strong. Good to see you out fishing and not working. Life’s too short! Look forward to more videos

Great work mate, great job on the snaps and maori, around how shallow were you fishing? shame about the first few big ones but nice to see some boated, if you don't want them flapping around and slowly dying I'd brain spike them as soon as they come overboard, up to you though keep it up bro👌

Thanks Ja, fishing 20-25m, I have a permanent brain spike set up on the boat, sometimes I’ll use it, I had a big bleed out bin on board so I wasn’t too worried about them,

Nice to see you back filming mate. Are you using swivels to hang your hooks?
@robbymillsfishing5290 Жыл бұрын
Cheers mate, I run a swivel between my hooks, but not usually on the top hook to leader,
@darrynball697 Жыл бұрын
What sort of length leader you running Robbie for the whole Pilli’s?
@robbymillsfishing5290 Жыл бұрын
I usually run about a 3 meter wind on leader to a swivel, then a leader about a meter long with a running sinker and hooks

Hey mate. Another cracker video with some nice fish! Do you only fish un-weighted when there is no current? Every time I’m up at cape Moreton I’ve got massive sinkers on trying to get to the bottom without running 50m sideways. Any tips? Cheers
@robbymillsfishing5290 Жыл бұрын
You really have to be at your spot first light, just make sure there is a good show of fish on your sounder, yeah if it looks calm enough try unweighted first to see if you can hit your bottom area easy enough, otherwise upgrade your sinker just enough so your bait just wofs down looking as natural as possible, but the biggest key to success for early morning is being on your spot first light, thats when your better quality smarter big fish will be feeding
@robbymillsfishing5290 Жыл бұрын
If you have current, keep backing up on your spots in reverse and upgrade your sinker to suit, but still fish it as light as you can, in an out of reserve will keep you in the strike zone for longer,

Thanks for the help mate. Will try that next week when the wind buggers off. And you’re not a fan of paternoster rigs? Just running ball sinker works best out there? Love the videos 👍🏽 Might catch you out there one day
@robbymillsfishing5290 Жыл бұрын
@@davidw587 hey mate yeah definitely always try to use a running ball sinker over a paternoster, a lot more natural looking, I only use a paternoster if the current is racing and cant hit the bottom, But just still use as small snapper lead as possible and 1 dropper,
