I have both of those set ups. My 430 was used by it's previous owner way into HIS 90's. One of my favorite machines. It's been involuntarily converted to a hybrid. It now burns gas AND oil.

Great video. Always like those dog eater snowblowers, but never had one. Not many Gravelys in my parts. Tremclad clear gloss paint works real good to make the snow slide off. I use it on my snowthrowers, snow plows, loader bucket and snow shovels.

The walk behind is quite a beast.

That C10 reminds me of my Dad's, it did an excellent, so I'm not surprised. Better than anything new on the market today.

We got close to a foot Ralph but with drifts I ended up with about 4 feet in my driveway since I have walls on either side of it. My little Toro 521 did the job though it beat the hell out of the big boys in the neighborhood. I love playing in the snow!

Those are good blowers

Nice I am working on my 816 tractor now. Got my 5665 dialed in . Wet snow is always an issue on long island. Blowers clogging ice chunks jamb.

Is there any adjustment for reverse travel ? Barely moves in reverse on the level, not at all up any grade. Mine is, I think, a 432. Serial J77252. Looks like your 430 except it is red with white.

Looks like you could use a snow cab on the 10a. I have 2, one for the C8 and one for the Canadiana (neither mounted yet) PaulL

I run my 82'-83 Ariens HT-16 real hard to this day. Can't kill these old workhorses and they're all balls. Ive cleared up to about 30" of heavy wet northern new England snow with her zero issue. The sheer weight of the blower unit itself keeps it wherever you want it, and she usually throws about 35ft on average tho I'm nodding her with rubber on the impeller tips this winter to help with driveway gravels which gets sucked in. I didn't expect the 16 horse to have the balls needed to move the heavy tractor AND throw the wet heavy snow but she really does. First year I had her all set up I always had my Big Deere tractor ready on hand for the massive power required for the bottom of our 300ft long run, even way out in the middle of nowhere the big 4x4 plows or loaders and graders leave massive piles at the bottom usually 4ft all the way up 6+ft one time. Honestly I never thought the "little" 40 blower would be able to handle everything I maintain, as I said I was ready with my Deere 1050 tractor but my little Ariens HT-16 garden tractor with that super duty blower is one hell of an all balls and absolutely unbeatable combo. I have been lucky enough to clear snow with "Real" tractors all set up, big loaders, a Unimog, large walk behind blowers yet they all have shit trade offs where as the garden tractor with a big blower is the most maneuverable, has the power to move a couple ft of snow, AND throw the snow where YOU ACTUALLY WANT IT rather than making massive piles which finish melting in God dam June making massive amounts of mud. The one drawback I still have truthfully is I would like a cab, as it gets to 50 below zero at my house so with the wind-chill the thermometer reads death temperature lol also sometimes with the light fluff snow you get it drifting in the face which not only freezes your face off it gets you wet which will catch up an even kill ya if out there long enough. The little tractor cabs are excellent at keeping the heat in, but the same fluffy snow drift sticks to the vinyl windows so we're damned if we do and if we dont

that walk behind seemed to work better than the rider.

The rider is hard to make the first pass with. If the battery hadn’t died you would have seen the legendary 2nd pass.

That dog eater is amazing. My smartphone only lasts about 2 minutes before the battery freezes and dies
