Honestly the food in this country is fucking horrible outside of London and Indian cuisine since there's so many Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistanis that acc do proper curry. All the Turkish here serve horrible greasy dogshit kebabs, the Chinese food is premade and uses supermarket sauces half the time and the Italian and mexican joints all have food that tastes fake. Eating proper kebabs and breads in Türkiye made me appreciate how nice kebabs can be and how bad our ones are over here.

I used to go to a place in Muscat in Oman, and there you got doner, shish, kofte, chicken, Lebanani khobz, humous and baba ghanoush as I recall it cost 2 Rials 800 baisa... which at the time was about £4.00, and that was enough for 3 people. That being said you could also buy a carton i.e. 200 Winston Red for the same amount.... and petrol was the equivalent of 16p a liter... lol

Danny. Sweet corn is a dear food close to the heart of the people of mid western USA. We roast it on the cob over charcoal or just heat in the microwave oven. We slather it in butter, salt, pepper and gnaw it off that cob. I'm not into sweet things but I do like sweet corn. I can't fathom anyone not liking it but here you are! I have friends that don't like foods because of their texture and I was wondering if this was the case with you? Maybe you got ill while eating sweet corn and the taste brings back a bad memory? It's a very neutral food so I'm very curious?
