All I got to say is WOW. That’s a trip right there. Love your style and techniques. As always really really love your videos. I look forward to them every day. Love the baits you use I find it very interesting. Thanks for sharing your trips I do learn a lot. Not always successful trying what you do but takes practice. I’ve bought hundreds of dollars in baits cause of your fishing. The bait companies owe you. lol. Keep them coming.

I like Jon’s videos too. I learn a lot from Jon and David as well as Todd Masson and JarFishing. I don’t always fish the same way or even use the same baits but I learn so much watching their videos. A fisherman has to get out there and explore different areas while using baits according to conditions. I almost like that part better than catching…almost but not quite.

Thanks Guys. Great video! I think dirty water forces fish into pockets of clean water and concentrates them for you. No visible bait was sort of amazing given the action?

Jon, awesome video! I enjoy watching you and David in the search of specks. I caught my PB speck yesterday in Hopedale, 22 1/4 inches & very healthy. I didn’t have a scale to weigh it but I have pictures! Released it too & watched it swim away! Keep the videos coming! Thanks!

Was this down in St Bernard recently?

so I only ha e good luck with top water first thing in the morning, right before the sun goes down, or overcast... what made you decide to throw topwater I'm those conditions?
@JonMillerFishing7 ай бұрын
It is that area, at that time of year. Water is shallow, about. 2.5 ft, and for whatever reason the big trout there will often hit topwater all day. Might be that they are eating a lot of mullet?

Great vid as usual Jon! Have you stopped using the Chalmette rig? I know you would usually use it in winter.
@JonMillerFishing7 ай бұрын
I have mostly stopped using it but yes I would use it in deep water.

@@JonMillerFishing Did this technique arise from you "walleye" fishing?

What app tells you the feeding periods?
@terrybuquoi7 ай бұрын
I use any weather app that shows conditions, wind, and pressure. And a tidal chart. Low pressure like 29.6, 29.7 is a good indicator that fish are feeding. But I’m a working man so I go fishing whenever I can barring high winds, unsafe conditions, etc…

I love the videos, but you know a lot of thing that we get off of these videos is knowing when a good time is to go fish when conditions water conditions so on and so forth, it sucks when you guys post a video that’s already a week old because those conditions have nothing to do with the current times I’m just saying most people would like to see a current video like I was looking at your video hoping this was one from yesterday because I was thinking about going today but being that was eight days ago that you went fishing at literally has zero bearing on today’s fishing whatsoever don’t get me wrong I like the videos but these videos for me or a Tools and a very important one for poor people like me who make less than $35,000 a year we can’t afford to go out every single day, every single weekend we can’t afford $1500 live scopes so us poor people depend on you rich people putting videos out that help us so we can live a little bit of the life that y’all do that’s like going on a charter I’ve looked it up $400 a person it would cost $1000 for me and my son to go for a day. Are you out of your freaking mind normal people can’t pay those kind of prices. It’s ludicrous Lee ridiculous to say the least and those aren’t even full day events. Those are half day.

You gotta go to know.
@chadwilson65507 ай бұрын
That’s right you got to go often to see days like these. Don’t happen every day. Lot of luck stopping at the right place at the right time. And skill by going often and learning the conditions. What I got out of this video was so proud that La waters are producing these size fish and better. Also I learn a lot about what baits to fish and how. I would love to know where he was but it would be different even the next morning. I’ve wore trout out late evening and go back next morning and nothing. They move all the time as the conditions change. Which if often. You can do this in an aluminum boat.

I’m not a videographer but I’ve heard that it takes a lot of time and effort to get good video, edit it and transfer it to social media plus the fishermen have to clean the boat, motor and trailer after getting home (some times a several hour trip) and then clean any fish they may have kept.
