As Zander are not indigenous to the UK shouldn't they be removed ?

Zander have become naturalised in several waterways now. Eradicating them would be near impossible and they have found balance in these ecosystem. This particular fishery is a man made reservoir that is artificially stocked with rainbow trout which is also not an indigenous spp to the UK

Dave we were using smelt. Coarse baits are banned on this water, where they are permitted they would be the first choice.

Rob thanks. The best we did was 3 for 41lb in about 30 minutes several years ago. The biggest going 17lb. All on swim baits
