I used to listen to this on cassette on my first walkman in the summer of 86 when I was 16. My Dad died that summer while it was still in the charts, he was only 55. I often wonder if he ever heard this on the radio while driving around in his works van before he got ill. I hope we liked the same music, I reckon we did. Love you Dad.

None of us know one another, but here we are. Sharing memories, having a laugh as we close our eyes to catch glimpses of where we were when we used to hear this song as teens, etc. There is a reason why they treat some alzheimer patients with music to bring back memories, etc. I'm sure there is stuff we all disagree on, but what is the one true universal language? Please, everyone stay safe and love one another as best as you can.

A golden age of music …. Listening back to much of the 80’s, it’s astounding to witness the breadth and scope of artists visions and ideas being executed… it’s clear that the musicians created from their own calling rather than the idea of what might be successful … maybe an inversion of much of what has been going on for many years in the current commercial scene. That’s what was wonderful; bands who were anything but obviously commercial being appreciated for their brilliance and individuality. Love this track. So fresh

I grew up in Oklahoma City, and back in the 80's it was damn hard to find "underground music" (called "alternative" in the 90's). Anyway, I was something of a mall rat, so driving down to Dallas (parents driving, I was a few years away) and, being able to wander the Galleria mall for hours was like heaven. I had seen this video on Mtv and found the cassette in a record store, and my dad was cool enough to buy it for me. Other great trax on the cassette, but E=mc2 was the best. Spent good time with Greg and Leo, Don has been on decks supporting my old band and during my last bands gig in Portabella. Meeting Mick on yhe four or five occasions blew my brains. Greg is the reason i play drums and Mick and Don are responsible for so much of who I am today. BAD for life.
