Mass Effect: Andromeda is the most recent Mass Effect game unless you're watching this after Mass Effect 4 came out... or maybe it's Mass Effect 5? Either way, I'm not changing this video description. This is famously the terribly-reviewed game that caused EA to put the entire Mass Effect franchise on ice.
But is it really as bad as people on the internet say? well, the truth is more complicated.

​@@lorddootinator4332I played Andromeda about 6 months ago with R7 5800X, GTX 1660Ti and 16GB of RAM and had barely any issues somehow. Ship still was laggy but is seems to be so because they had genius idea to use path tracing only there at the time when it wasn't popular yet yhus barely any optimisation. I started to have real issues only by second Saudi Arabia with local Shai-Hulud.

Let's not forget the fact that the Hyperion comes out of FTL in the very opening of the game, starts waking everyone up, but at a point where the ship still has a nice view of the ENTIRE Andromeda galaxy to set the stage! I'm not sure if people know this, but a galaxy is just a tad bit bigger than a Walmart parkinglot, and if you can still see Andromeda as a galaxy in the distance, you aren't even remotely close to getting to it! So when they manage to hit an energy cloud in the Helios cluster what seems like at most a few hours later, it means they got around halfway there in 600 years, but the final half in a few hours tops... If you just wanted to cross from one side of The Milky Way to the other, at say 10 times the speed of light, you would still need a good 12-15,000 years to do it, as our own galaxy is estimated at around 120-150,000 lightyears across!

Considering most ME worlds are semi-compatible for human living without enclosed system, most races on them developed similar adaptation and evolution mechanisms that work well in that environment (with human-like being superior). The only exclusion are races with dextro-aminoacid biology which is alternate biochemistry that still developed in similar environment. What I say, even IRL we have solid chance to bang an alien if it comes from another earth-like. Just don't forget about antibiotics, as bacterial hazard still presists even on our world. And of course use condoms, you don't want to have alien kids if things are TOO COMPATIBLE, right? RIGHT?

I got this game when it was released.... I didnt have any problems with bugs or the weird playdo faces and was hilarious to see videos and forum posts about it. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, I thought it was pretty and scenic and aside from Peebee (Who I thought was incredibly boring) the characters were interesting. Yeah, really, if BioWare's A team really was so good then Anthem should have been amazing, but no, it was a disaster while Andromeda is, IMO, actually pretty good. It's like the whole Bungie vs 343 Halo argument. The Bungie-era Halo Fanboys say that 343 is ruining Halo & that it should be given back to Bungie, but to that I have evidence to the contrary: Exhibit A: Bungie themselves said they gave up Halo because they told all the stories they could with it & didn't know where else to go after Halo 3 Exhibit B: Bungie's absolutely horrendous handling of Destiny 2 recently (Need I mention the layoffs & the CEO's apparent car obsession?) If Halo was given back to Bungie then they would ruin it way worse than 343 ever supposedly did
