It's hinted that anora is likely barren and Alistair is a warden so there is a very slim chance of a healthy heir with either one and especially together. I'd say the best ending is Warden marrying either Alister or Anora, although the Warden will not have an heir with either one as it's discovered at the very end that Noble Warden's brother is alive. Since neither Alistair or Anora have brothers or cousins with Noble blood The warden's brother will very likely inherit the throne. Otherwise Ferelden will fall to a civil war when Alistair/Anora die.

Fantastic work as always, Dan! The Landsmeet is, without a doubt, my favorite Dragon Age moment. Mary Kirby, the writer of the Landsmeet (and Varric and the Qunari and much else), once said she can only explain all the variables to people when she's very drunk and after watching this it makes sense. I'm more than a little upset with BioWare for laying her off. Dragon Age without Mary Kirby is like an orchard without cherry blossom.

What I actually didn’t like about the landsmeet is how you can only give one example of Loghain’s crimes, even if you have proof for all of them. It doesn’t really make sense and makes much of what you’ve done obsolet.

@@hansno1475 yeah, I think if you mention ostagar you failed basically. Everything wich involves nobels and the Slave trait is good I think. It’s basically the only way they could force a bad outcome, if you played all the quests, because it locks you out of mentioning all the proof. It doesn’t really make sense, but I guess it’s meant to show that you failed at the political game if you mention ostagar, because you have to way of proving anything there.

Inquisition makes the best option to make Alistair and Anora share power and save Loghain. Have the old god baby with Morrigan (or have someone else do it), kill the archdemon. Then in inquisition, when it comes time to save Loghain or Hawke, save Hawke and allow Loghain to finally have a proper hero’s end and fully redeem himself.

This is the video I have been waiting for a looong time. I had three walkthroughs of the game: a Commoner Dwarf who romanced Alistair; a human noble who romanced Alistair, but sacrificed herself (Alistair's grief was very well done); and a blood mage who cared only about mage's power and Morrigan. In no way could I have all the permutations of the Landsmeet done, so thank you very much for doing this!

I think Cautrien is one of the best side characters in the series. She is your implacable enemy unless you prove your good character to her. How many people would ever choose to surrender to her willingly and go to prison? It seems like one of those “game over” choices. The warden refusing to kill innocent people who truly are only doing their job forces her to re-examine the lies Loghain is spreading about the wardens. She is honorable enough that the evidence forces her to change her mind. It clearly hurts her, but she would rather carry personal dishonour for betraying Loghain and standing aside than fighting for the wrong thing.

You can actually kill Ser Cauthrien twice. If you fight her in the Arl of Denerim's Estate but leave at least one of her guards alive, you can then sneak out of the estate with one of your rogues. You won't have to go to Fort Drakon, and Ser Cauthrien will still appear again outside the Landsmeet. This allows you to keep her alive, even if you want her sword, and also allows you to potentially loot her sword a second time.

Several reasons. -It requires alistair to be softened (else he will become a drunkard). -Alistair has to execute Loghain (He is a hero he deserves a heros death), he won't appear in inquisition to prove himself once more. He would serve a significant role if he remains as a member of the wardens. Of course trade off is that warden alistair won't appear in inquisition. -It requires convincing Anora that you will marry her (which is not difficult mind you but it has to be done prior to landsmeet when it isn't required with alistair becoming king) -Even if Warden becomes Prince-consort he will serve in the role of warden commander, not as the king. -Even if warden becomes prince-consort he will still disappear to go seek the cure to the calling (alistair remains as the king and serves as the king in dragon age 2 and inquisition. If warden becomes king he won't be seen in inquisition doing kingly duties unlike Alistair.) -Alistair actually shows up as the king in the following games, and the marriage seems to be more than purely ceremonial the way it is with Warden commander. -Ferelden is better off with Alistair guiding Anora than it would be if Anora was by herself (because the warden commander just dips out to look for a cure) But I do think it is cool that you can be king, just unfortunate that in DA2 and Inquisition it is not utilized

Because Bioware made the mistake of telling, not showing. They say she's much loved. They say she was the strength of the throne. They say she's the one who did the hard work of ruling the country. They say she's powerful. They don't show any of that. They show her as a weak woman with no actual power. She has no authority, no support, no leadership skills, and just rolls over when her father comes home. She's shown with nothing that that one would expect from how she's described. She could have shut down every issue with a single word in the very beginning and immediately united and stabilized the country, something that the person they say she is would have done. A lot of people also take issue with the rescue mission. She turns on you if you don't do what she says, which given the situation is absurd. You've defeated a High Dragon, an ancient Elven wizard, a Broodmother, and made many Fade demons wish they'd never meddled in the affairs of mortals. You've united four disparate factions/species that dislike if not hate each other. You've found, touched, and reclaimed the mortal remains of their most holy. You're a living legend whose deeds will be known around the entire world for centuries, if not millennia, and clearly the only hope for the country. Now you've "rescued" her and face the most insignificant challenge of your career, but if you don't follow her childish plan, she tosses you to the wolves.

Even if Alistair and/or Anora live long enough, soon or before there will be problem of eligibility, since there isn't heir... And since to have the outcome I've choose Alistair must be hardened for the problem with his sister.. Well a legacy of Alistair's sister in the throne sounds pretty ridiculous for me 🤣🤣🤣 but at least they should be eligible for the role, even without royal blood, right? How this works? 🤣🤣

But let's say Logahain had a bastard child and Anora+Warden married so the bastard probably has a better claim to the throne than Warden's brother since the Warden wasn't truly a king. But at the end it comes to who has the most support/power.

So, Anora as a regent Queen is ultimately last pretended of the throne, and since none of Alistair and warden can have child cus Gray warden infertility after trial, the only way to ferelden to have a legacy is hope that Warden is a noble with a brother believed dead but he's not, and only him can claim the throne.. No way to arrange a wedding to anora and other noble right? I've completed only 1 run with a human mage, so no wedding with Anora and no missing brother return...
