Nice review mate and what a rifle that proved to be my original Lyra was unbelievable for the money and would single hole at 30 yards but think you got an unreal barrel on that one.
@bigdansairguns83Ай бұрын
Hey Frosti! Reximex make a good barrel, it sounds like yours is shooting pretty exceptionally too. It's rifles like these that make me completely lose interest in the "premium" gear.

Morning Dan hope all's good your End and nice to see you Back again. I bought an aftermarket single shot tray for my Lyra. Well worth the Money as I use it as a Target Gun 🤔
@bigdansairguns83Ай бұрын
Hey Yeti! They're a great gun the Lyra whether big or small, I don't blame you for the aftermarket SS tray the standard ones are a bit too fiddly for their own good. Now if only they'd make a shorter cylinder Lyra with a reg and slightly cut the LOP back..

The mags I haven't had any major issues with the SS tray absolutely. That said the 3d printed gear is excellent these days and I wouldn't be surprised if the mags were more slick.

Great review Dan, I have the Myth which I bought a couple of months ago and for the price it's a smashing little back up ratting rifle. What more do you need they are a great value for money. I must admit first glance I did think it was ugly but it's already growing on me.
@bigdansairguns83Ай бұрын
Thanks Piper! I need to get the Myth filmed, especially the new walnut version. It'd make an interested comparison vs the Kral NP02. It's not the prettiest rifle on the market as you've said but it's designed as a working gun. Something it does very very well!

Great review, I bought my Pretensis off the back of your review and took a punt on a Kuzey K600 before you had reviewed it and love that gun as well although it has a leak at the moment.I would be interested in a Lyra K if a reg could be fitted.

Another one of your excellent reviews Dan 👍 Seems to me Reximex are currently producing good PCP’s at very good prices and this new Lyra K shows this to be true. I have a Regime .22 which (fingers crossed 😉) has been reliable, tough and a pleasure to use. Out of interest what Chrono do you use?
@bigdansairguns83Ай бұрын
Hey Nick! I use the Caldwell chronograph, I'd argue the best accessible chrono on the market and very easy to use. I do like the Regime, I wasn't a fan of its looks originally but it actually serves a purpose unlike most. Shoulders beautifully too and like you've said Nick they're a reliable little monster too.

@@bigdansairguns83 Hey Dan - appreciate the reply! Think we share a preference for trad-looking springers (LOVE my HW77K), so if it's won you over, then there's got to be something going on. If it shoots sweet groups _and_ looks good doing it, then that's a winner, imo. Bit of context: shot airguns when I was younger, recently got back into the sport as I approach geezerdom (seem to be quite a few of us about) so PCP's still seem odd and new-fangled to me, lol. However, the lack of recoil intrigues me, for the accuracy benefits. I only punch paper, and only for my own amusement, btw - and my '77 is a lot more accurate than I am. Slowly getting there, though... Cheers! :)

Hi, I'm looking at this rifle and the walther rotex rm8 varmint uc 177 what would you say
@bigdansairguns8313 күн бұрын
Hi Greyhound, that's a difficult one as both are excellent rifles. For me I'd personally pick the Lyra-K. It's lighter, every bit as accurate and in my opinion has the superior trigger. The Rotex has a better shot count but the regulators are also quite slow to recharge so you'll need to wait 10-15 seconds per shot for consistent power. I think the Lyra takes it personally and it should leave change for accessories too.

I'm a but confused. 750 feet per second in a 177? That's low for .22. What's going on there? The umarex notos is shooting 700 fps but is anemic for squirrels. Would this in .22 be an upgrade? Also how quiet is this rifle?
@bigdansairguns8317 күн бұрын
Hi Anthony! I'm guessing you may be from the U.S. In the UK we're limited to 12ft-lbs without a license. The rifle isn't quiet without a silencer but you have 1/2UNF thread on the barrel.

I much prefer the Reximex Throne Gen2 Compact.
@bigdansairguns83Ай бұрын
Hi Rockstar. It goes to show we all have different tastes as I feel the complete opposite haha. To me the Throne/Ixia compact is considerably worse in the shoulder than the Lyra. But then I don't like the "tactical" approach of the Ixia/FX'ey type rifles.

Not going to win any beauty contests, that's only my opinion though, but it seems to shoot well for it's price. How do guns like this fair over time as far as reliabilty goes.
@bigdansairguns835 күн бұрын
Hey Jones. The Reximex/Kral gear is reliable from my experiences and I've personally had only 3 rifles ever fail or be returned in the years I've traded with them. The Lyra's are fairly basic internally with no regulator etc to fail.
