Hello, I would like to know about the possibility of simultaneously using ND, CPL, SMIST1/4, and other filters in the FREEWELL SHERPA system for iPhone 15. I have watched many videos of people reviewing this system and carefully studied the manufacturer's website, but nowhere is there extremely important information. Everyone says that you can use, for example, a VND filter or a permanent ND filter with the Anamorphic 1.33 lens, as well as a CPL filter and others. Good! However, everyone needs to understand whether ND, CPL, SMIST1/4, and other filters can be used simultaneously on one lens in various combinations, as this is critically important for any shooting. For example, when making videos of the city or nature in high lighting conditions, I need to use an ND or VND filter to reduce the shutter speed, but I also need to remove glare from the surfaces of plant leaves or from the surfaces of cars, water, windows, etc., and I need to use a CPL filter. As you understand, these filters are meaningless separately and can be used, but only in rare cases. I would appreciate clarification on this aspect, as it significantly affects the functionality of the entire system and gives a clear answer whether it's worth buying or it will be money thrown to the wind.

Why do i have black vignette in the corners with my 1.7 telephoto an the long range macro. I cant use the .5x or the 1x zoom because of this. I need to use at least 2x

hi Perry on the site while ordering pro kit it says 1.33 or 1.55 cinemorphic but in your kit you have both can you guide me little bit how to order a kit with all the lesnes in one kit... thank you

Hmm it looks like they pivoted from the time they issued the early kits to the final versions. It used to be with the “ultra pro kit” you would choose whether you wanted blue or gold and you’d get 1.33 and 1.55. But now you choose the squeeze factor and you get both colours instead. Odd. Makes more sense to me, honestly. I find the squeeze factor of the 1.33 to not be quite enough to be worthwhile anyway (as I think I mentioned in the video).

Their first release of the 15 Pro max didn't fit the 15. I had to send it back but good to know that Freewell was aware and has fixed the problem and you can get the new case directly from them. The Amazon store took no longer shows the 15Pro Max case but Freewell said that the new case will be available in Nov on Amazon too. I thought the support from Freewell was good.

Did you know that Google automatically pulled out quotes from this video that make it seem like you HATE these lenses? If you google "freewell telephoto lens bokeh" it pops up and does the google thing where it pulls what it thinks are important clips and it has pulled "Autofocus gets a little dodgy", "autofocus does not work" and "detail level is just abysmal". So it was a hilarious surprise for me to realize you actually like these lenses overall! Great video though haha, thanks for making it

Thanks Wes I have a question, I want to buy this pro kit and as you know it contains long range macro lens . So if I unscrew this macro lens I will get the telephoto lens??? so there is no need to buy another telephoto lens ?? because I don't want to have 2 telephoto lenses . Thanks in advance.

I’m a little unclear on this That’s what I did, but I was told not to advise people to do this, as they weren’t happy with the quality of far focus image quality in their final testing, so created a second product with some tweaks.

Hmm, I think they’ve done some redesigning. But on the website I’m pretty sure it’s the Long Range Macro Lens and the macro part unscrews and it just becomes a telephoto lens.

@@denniswu2333 they changed their minds about how the lens lineup will work and came out with dedicated tele and macro lenses I think And they sent me the new tele lens and mine won’t focus sharp 🥴 so I dunno. Have to get back to them to see if it’s a bad copy.

All the lenses in this kit have the same filter size, so any ND can go on any lens. As far as I know they’re shipping now, but I can’t be certain.

Probably 30. Used to do 60, but I moved to 4K and 4K60 makes my cameras overheat lol. 24 looks horrifyingly bad on KZbin. (Even with adaptive displays)

@@WesPerry Really? Even uploading in 4k? 30fps just looks too digital. All of my short films are shot in 24fps and look as good as they can in youtube.

The 1.55 makes no sense to me since you shoot on a 16:9 aspect ratio on your phone, not open gate (or 3:2). So when shooting in 4k, with a frame width of 3840 and a standard aspect ratio of 2.4:1, you will end up cutting off about 14% of your image on the edges. If you don't care about standard aspect ratios, sure you could desqueeze to a 2.73:1 aspect, but what is that? That's not going to look good on any screen. If you shoot on the 1.33x (an increasingly popular squeeze ratio due to the lack of open gate sensors on consumer and prosumer cameras), you can shoot in 16:9, keep the standard 2.4:1, keep every valuable pixel, and still retain anamorphic characteristics. Plus you're going to get far less distortion on a 1.33x lens than a 1.55.

There is definitely a discussion to be had about whether to go this way when you already have a super expensive phone, or a real camera.
