I went to turkey last year and got a DHI procedure. The DHI cost more yet I still came out with a failed transplant. This is because they use their less experienced staff to do the DHI's because it's an easier method to perform than an FUE. So this guy didn't even account for the direction of my hair. When he started I even questioned it because the dude was positioned behind me and it felt like he was implanting my top hairs at an upright angle when I know the top of my head grows forward. He told me he's going with the direction of my hair and i just figured he's the surgeon, he knows what he's talking about. Boy am I pissed. I'm a year in and all of my implanted hair is shooting straight up with no angle. Don't go to Asli Tarcan for a DHI. It is a scam.
@crisdavid35162 жыл бұрын
Wow I’ve been looking into asli Tarcan for mine.. how many grafts did you do?
@wmasterss2 жыл бұрын
@@crisdavid3516 I was heavily persuaded into 4500 grafts which lead to over-harvesting on the mid-back and rear right side of my head. My advice to you, if Asli Tarcan is your best bet money-wise, is to be stern about making your own decisions on your procedure. Do not let them persuade you to do it their way because they have messed up a lot of people's heads in the past year. If you feel like you don't need 4500 grafts, put your foot down. Tell them 3000. Its better to aim lower and if you feel like you need more density then you can go back. It's better than for them to overharvest you then you have to get a repair procedure in another clinic which may not even guarantee a perfect recovery. They shoot for extremely high graft counts because their main goal is to prioritize making the front of your head look really good as far as density. But often times that comes with messing up the back for many people. Getting the front to look good is what attracts customers. Too much emphasis on the front forget about the back. This also sabotages your ability to grow your hair out because your back is too thin and it'll show. Then there's those who get overharvested and it just looks bad period. Prioritize picking what you think is just right for you. Do research. If you don't agree with their inevitable high graft projection, override them. If you get recruited by a man named Fred, you'll DEFINITELY have to strong arm him. He is very stubborn and and will fuck you over. If you need more density you can just go back. but your best bet is to try to get it just right and avoid being fucked over like many others. As for the nature of the clinic.. Asli Tarcan herself, the business owner, seems to be more focused on herself than actually truly caring about ensuring the best outcomes for her clients. I say this because way too many people has been overharvested from there, and from what I hear, it's still happening. What I've observed from being in her presence personally is she walks around everyday with a cameraman recording her every move. She conducts herself like a celebrity, extravagant outfits, all the while countless of her patients end up unsatisfied with their results. She strike me as the type that won't really care unless the money begins slowing down. Anyway, so that's my extra 99 cents. lol Good luck if decide to go.

One part that I’m curious to hear a medical opinion on is the claim that DHI is not associated with a greater graft survival rate. I was under the impression that Sapphire FUE (for example) has a graft survival rate of about 70%, because cells die a little when they’re removed for transplant and not receiving immediate blood flow. DHI having higher survival rates because the grafts are implanted directly back into the scalp, where circulation can resume faster. Is this correct?

Density is about greft count, structure of hair(multiple, thick,curley long ) and also about the surgeons artistic skill and concentration of implantation pattern regarding delivery of the grefts .for example if you implant grefts in a row you will have worse result..a bit 'irregular (chaotic) implantation pattern provides more coverage (visual density)

There's a claim that in FUE, time out of body for the grafts is higher as compared to DHI. In FUE, it is stored in some solution for a couple hours but in DHI, the recipient site creation and implantation is simultaneous and hence, ensures higher survival rates. Is this true or false?

Hello Dr. Gary, is it true that DHI method you get a better density? Because implantation is made directly and grafts can be implanted closer, at the FUE you need to do incisions, and if you make 2 incisions too close to each other they can merge and become a big damage. Is this true? Also DHI for the front line gives better natural looking results? Thank you

Yes I think you’re correct, DHI is more direct and precise

I went for the cheapest option and got the $1.2 per graft package. The head surgeons design the hairline and make the slits. Since all the technicians were doctors in training (not just permanent techs), I was confident I would get a good result and I did. Very soft hairline and only single grafts. I may go on to thicken the temples as they haven't moved. I only care about ha ING my hair until I'm 45 anyway.

So I had a consultation with a clinic and they said only dhi gives lifelong result and with fue the hair will wall after 6 years is it true?
@mageguy34 ай бұрын
Did you ever get your answer? From what I read fut if you have a lot of loss and need a lot of graphs or Care about having density in the back since it leaves a line scar you have to leave hair longer. Fue if you like short hair in the back and only have mild loss. Because fue you can only do so many extraction before it looks thin in the back. While fut you can multiple lines but you have to keep longer in the back to hide the scar. I been thinking and just saying f it and have scar. Looks bwdass

so wich one is better dhi or fue?

Hi doctor, they say that dhi has a better density than fue 70 grafts vs 50 graft per cm2. Is it a myth too?

I’m 57 and have considered a hair transplant, I’m probably a Norwood 5. I had an ablation to treat a- fib and have been been fine since the procedure that was 3 years ago. Would it be risky to have a hair transplant? Otherwise, I’m in great shape.

which is better FUE or FUT and does cost vary bases on single follicle placement vs multiple 3 follicles at a time ?
@dynamitedmoney3 ай бұрын
Do you have any updated research on this because I’m seeing a lot of successful procedures and patients that are leaving great reviews having a lot of success with density and scarring so it seems like it’s actually a better alternative to FUE. My brother-in-law did a mixture of FUE with DHI and the results were incredible. Not once scar on his head complete coverage and you would never know he had a procedure. what are your thoughts?

Hairloss is really uncomfortable. My hair started to fall this pandemic after i got sick for a week. My hair got really thin, i cut my hair shoulder lenght but still the fair keep falling. Specially if i wet my hair.. I tried anti-hairfall shampoo, but no effect. Then i tried a mild shampoo(no parabens, no dyes etc,) baby shampoo(jonhsons baby bath) and after a week the hairfall lessens until only 1 strand or nothing falls at all. and 2 months now i got 2 inches of baby hairs sticking out of my head 🙏. I don't know how it happened. My hair is not as soft without a conditioner but i don't know if i want to go back to using shampoo again other than the one i am using now...
