I was able to attend Dr. Freeman's presentation in a few years ago at a local library. It was refreshing to meet a healthcare professional who enjoys educating the public about good nutritional practices. I'm glad his influence/platform is growing. Much love!!

18:37 people around me say that all the time 'oh it's just a little dairy', right after saying they have aches and pains. Most people I know would rather have aches, pains, and surgery than give up dairy. It's really sad!

Smart man. Love the drive to spread the word about whole plant eating. Love my black coffee, but had to get off it, to avoid the hang over night time effects. Couldn't sleep, so I just don't indulge.

Coffee can be decaffeinated with chemicals or water. Avoid the chemical processed coffee and pick the water decaffeinated. Whole foods offers water decaffeinated coffee. Look at the outside of the package for processing method.

0:43 "national jewish health". Not even 1 minute in and I'm learning so much. If this was a class - I wouldn't even be able to start let alone get a grade - there's so much to know! So much to catch up on and learn and grow in terms of judaism and veganism - just so little we know, much like other obscure places like the country Georgia, argentina, tuscany, etc. Some cultures are just with us so long, yet we just know so little about them. It's veganism that opens up the past with info archaeology. I'm opening up my judaic knowledge everyday - now that veganism's putting it in front of me!

I have found that if I drink coffee during my workdays, it absolutely jacks up my anxiety, but NOT on my non workdays when I am not as stressed, so, I stick to herbal tea on workdays and enjoy coffee on days when I am not as stressed.

Health care costs are out of control. Going WFPB vegan can save money, pain and suffering from disease. Lower your chance of high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer by going vegan. Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices.

I really miss coffee. Stopped drinking coffee hoping it would help me stay asleep (get to sleep ok as long as didn't drink coffee after midday) but still wake up lots during the night. Might have coffee tomorrow morning as a treat.

How do explain the longevity in those blues zones? Have you seen just how much cheese is used by those Pasta Nonnas? Irma is 103 still making the pasta was married to a dairy farmer. Uses prosciutto in her pasta sauce. Everything is provided by their land. Have you ever spent the time working your garden, tending your animals and rolling the pasta. No need for going to the gym because there is plenty of activity on the land until the day you die. Growing your produce, making the salsa, milking the goats, making the cheese and the prosciutto and eating with friends and family with the homemade vino and the expresso coffee. Don't need no dr with a stethoscope round his neck to tell me what to eat. The Nonna's are all the science I need. 😊

The biggest problem with coffee is what you put in the cup besides the coffee. Spoons of sugar and creamers are the biggest issue of coffee drinkers. A Normal cup of coffee doesn’t have that much caffeine ,there’s usually 2 to 3 times more caffeine in a Starbucks coffee.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I think a better idea regarding nuts is to eat the small amount with your salad. That way the fat increases the absorption of other good nutrients in the salad.

14:04 I really believe the vegan society's definition allows too much for cop outs. I thoroughly believe that if veganism gives you a challenge you rise to it! Find a way to make veganism work instead of give up. I live in cowpalooza, but even here they will grow lettuce next to the 99% cows. Having cows around is an appeal to popularity - just because they're there, doesn't mean they have to be!

He doesn't really need to wear a stethoscope to enforce the idea he's a doctor.

I agree with you that when I see an infomercial with a person wearing a stethoscope, I develop a theory that maybe that person is not a doctor but just wants to look like one. This doctor is well-informed, and I am glad that I was able to catch this video.

Whey protein, which is found in dairy products, may account for many of the health benefits attributed to dairy. Studies have shown that whey protein given as a supplement lowers both LDL and total cholesterol as well as blood pressure. You can find whey protein powders in health food stores and some grocery stores. Cholesterol: Top foods to improve your numbers - Mayo Clinic
