From my understanding the reason Conor and Jorge didn’t fight in late 2020 was because ufc didn’t want it at the apex but instead in front of a sold out crowd. Obviously that was an impossible task in 2020 even 2021

Holloway v Ferguson Lawler vs GSP Carlos condit vs Anderson Silva Machida vs Bisping We almost got Khabib versus Max Holloway when Tony had to pull out the last time he was booked against Khabib. But the fight I wanted to see at that time was Holloway versus Ferguson. Both super tough technical boxers. Conor versus Masvidal probably didn’t happen for the same reason that GSP and silver didn’t happen. Both guys can draw on their own. If you match one against the other, then one hast to lose. You don’t shine off of one. If one can draw, just put him against a good contender. No need to Reduce the cachet of one of your stars.

Khabib got caught in that guillotine from DP. No offense to DP, but if prime tony gets that Khabib's head is coming off. Plus Khabib didn't fight anyone who is as off his back as prime Tony was. It was literally a perfect mma fight between the 2 greatest lightweights ever. Such a shame.

Tony has only looked good on his back vs people who are near half to death by exhaustion. Guillotine are known for being very low percentage submissions in mma. Look at what Kevin lee was doing to Tony before he gassed out and you think Tony would be able to outwork khabib? Through a Guillotine of all things? The most easily defended submission? Maybe if you said triangle you would have a better point. But we just saw how easily that is defended in both Tony's last fight and Islam vs Oliveira.

Plus Tony has good wrestling obviously not Khabib's wrestling but still. Tony's pressure and cardio are something Khabib's never fought against either. I'm not saying Khabib wouldn't win but it wouldn't be as easy as you guys are making it. And it doesn't matter how easy a guillotine is to defend, if Tony got the same guillotine Dustin had it's over. Khabib got caught in it by DP, who's to say he wouldn't against Tony?

Rory McDonald bullied Nate and rag dolled him when he did his first run at welterweight but Nate was too young back then and didn't grow into his frame enough yet to fight real prime 170 pounders like Rory was at the time. But that's literally the only time I can think of. Josh Thompson TKO'ed Nate, which was impressive ... but he was lucky that shot landed and the towel got thrown in because it wasn't like he was dominating or outclassing Nate.

I don't wanna say he got a fluke win over wonderboy, but he got dominated every which way until that superman punch. And then we have his win over Michael jhonson, a guy who's lost half of all of his fights. Again, his last 9 or 10 years with the company were terrible outside the Conor win. That cowboy win was back in 2010 back when he was a legit top contender

To pretend it wasn't a legitimate win for diaz is straight up psychotic. Also the cowboy fight wasn't in 2010.
