There is a lot of plastic in the UK, but most of it is recyclable. Our supermarkets are they supposed to be doing something about it.

I love a supermarket haul video! Much bigger variety of items than we have here, I think. I am enraged by the amount of plastic used, here and in London, it appears. For decades, scrolls were sold without plastic. Now suddenly they are so delicate that they need all this protection. It undoes all the good done by giving up plastic shopping bags. Thank you for the video. I also enjoyed the drive!

I am absolutely floored at how cheap the prices are there in the UK. For example, the steaks...wow! You showed a well-marbled Ribeye (which here would be a prime steak) for 7.47, which is an unbelievable price. That same steak would cost you close to $20 USD or more here. You also picked up that package of mushrooms...same package that size for those type would be over $5 USD. I'll be in the UK week after next and was really wondering how the food prices compared. You sure opened my eyes! WOW!

I go to London every year, and I often fill a suitcase with food to bring back. Some of it is cool things we don't have here, but I also buy staples that are just so much cheaper there.

We stayed in the London on holiday back in 2019 and actually went to this supermarket. Such a huge selection compared to Australia. We found all of the ready made stuff really handy while on holiday. We found it not too expensive. We had to find Vimto and Biscoff spread when we got home.

Hannah I LOVE your grocery store vids! One of my favorite tourist things to do in any country I visit is go to the grocery store and have a look at everything. I feel like I get to know something of the culture through what locals buy. We live in the southeastern United States and my partner is a Brit so we travel to the UK often. Your food is much cheaper than ours but we do have less plastic on fresh items. Halo Top is $7, Haagen Daz, $5, Ben and Jerry's is $5-6. Tesco lunch and dinner deals with the clubcard are the best. The mains beef meal ready to cook I got yesterday was $14-no side, no dessert, no drink.

I was in Hackney for two days earlier this year getting tattooed (international from Florida for the first time EVER) and there was a Lidl across the street from the tattoo parlour. When I tell you that store saved my life during those two days 😂 I actually loved the pre-made food options and the prices were SO convenient minus the nasty conversion rate the US dollar obviously goes through. Your vlog about Harrods actually tipped me off about the champagne terrace, and my friend and I had a lovely drink sitting just a few meters away from the table you were at. Thanks so much for your intel, it's truly valuable for people not familiar with London!

That was brilliant, loved every second. I'm a NZer, lived in Oxford for 4yrs, 2000 - 2004, did all our shopping with Sainsbury's or Tesco, and found it an experience which I've missed ever since. Things have definitely changed, but we didn't go down the ready meal aisle - not allowed. Would very much enjoy a similar exploration of Sainsbury, go down the canned food, bread, meat, a cruise down memory aisle's. You could get cans of beans and loaves of bread for 9p, just what a poor student needed. I've tried other supermarket vlogs, but nobody tells the story like you, my god you can talk, loved it. My new headphones helped with surround sound making me check behind where the noises were coming from. Thanks so much, love you to bits, take care. (even the driving was great. Dont think I've ever watched a vlog where I smiled all the way through before.)

Hannah, wanted to thank you, because of you I knew that supermarket ready to eat meals existed in the UK haha and it made a lot of difference when I was travelling there last month. Eating out is so very expensive while the supermarket food is not as gross as I thought they’d be. As I was staying at an Airbnb I just added a little bit of condiments (already provided at the Airbnb) and viola! Quite a gourmet meal my bf and I whipped up! So, yeah really appreciate these videos.

Hannah, I have always loved when you take us shopping. When I am in London I have only visited the Tesco in St. John’s Wood and Covent Garden and M&S on Oxford Street when doing a lot of shopping to bring back to Canada. So miss how your supermarkets package their items and what great quality and reasonable prices. So miss my visits and hopefully soon will be visiting and going to those shops, along with Harrods and Selfridges food hall and not to mention Fortnum and Mason. Again, just love love when you doing these shopping trips. I usually fill my suitcase with food items and sweets to bring back home each trip, so I have a memory for a couple of weeks of London. Loved even when you meet your friends for a picnic in a park. I guess I love the most the normal day to day life in London. I did mention and noted on a website that new shops and cafes are opening soon at the Battersea area and really hope this is open when the Design Fair is taking place in September. Also got a email newsletter from the Royal Garden Hotel, where I loved to go to their Terrace Restaurant for an early dinner and now they are opening a new restaurant soon. Please keep taking us to normal venues to me it is so refreshing and uplifting for my days because of Covid and air issues getting back to London. Thanks again for a normal happy day out with you, or out with your friends.

Hi Hannah, Happy Birthday and Bon appetit. I haven't bought groceries from the supermarket for years. I shop outside of the city in more rural regions at country butchers and at regional health food stores on farms. The result is less plastic and no ready meals. So many individual products that I then put together to form a dish. Somehow I like the direct contact with the producer. I mostly buy alcohol from Amazon actually.

I can’t stand shopping but I enjoyed watching you doing yours. Everything I do is online shopping & it’s fabulous but I’ve got a bug bear with Tesco, we live in the hills of Mid Wales so when we first spotted the Tesco home delivery van the first thing I did was go online & find out if they delivered, they did, I was so pleased so I paid for the yearly anytime deal, this was about seven years ago & I was a loyal shopper until the lockdowns it then became almost impossible to book a slot because lots of new customers started using it. They employed more drivers but unless I was online at midnight a slot was impossible. I also used Asda, more slots, more drivers & lots of choice so all my shopping is with them now. Gosh I’m sorry I don’t know why I went of on that ramble but I did enjoy the video xxx

I love the little scanner on the trolley that lets you keep track of how much you are spending!

I loved this Vlog😍. It’s so interesting to see what items a London grocery sells 🥰. Food is so much more expensive here in New York ☹️. I would love it if you decide to make 2 Vlogs a week! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Birthday 🥳.

loved this vid, love youtube shopping in London whether clothes or supermarket. As an expat living in Chicago, this is what keeps me going. Supermarkets here are terrible IMO, crowded aisles with too many product displays and terrible choice too. No such thing as ready made meals. So keep it coming girl, love all of them!

I loved seeing all of the food. Definitely something to look for if my family and I ever get to visit London.❤️

So much cheaper than here in Australia. I really love the huge range of plant-based products you have over there. Not that much choice here. Thanks Hannah. I always enjoy your shopping trips.

Yes was going to say the same. Was staggered at the cost of the watermelon! I remember paying $20 for a watermelon from Aldi a few years back. Food is triple the price here definitely.

We make up for it with the price of petrol and diesel in the UK at the moment 🤦🏻♀️
