Wow, that piano man plays with great gusto...I used to sit in the mall in Angeles City and listen to the music that flowed from a self playing piano...occasionally an older woman would play some numbers from time to time... Now with your Manila videos, I am wanting to explore Makati, Greenbelt, BGC, and Rockwell now...can I rent a decent condo in Manila for up to $400 USD per month? Air bnb might have some offerings? Sure. Possible. How long you planning on staying? Bit of a ball ache. Many condo agents/owners won't entertain less than 6 months and still want 2 months deposits, plus month in advance.

Airbnb or similar site might be your best option for shorter periods, a night to a month. No deposits or checks or other advance payments of rent. Also usually includes unlimited electricity and tap water usage. I'm currently in ayala alabang 28 nights in total, I paid about £1,193 Uk pounds. Like a hotel Airbnb is more expensive, but I expect you'll only good condos much cheaper on a 6 month or 1 year term, but that means living here. If Like me your visiting a partner or on holiday you only have a few weeks, so pay a inflated price.

I’m not a city person so Manila is not for me. I was there for 10 days last November and wasn’t impressed. I went to Dumaguete in February and it was a bit to small. I’m still looking for “just right”
