Peninsular Bighorn sheep eating a spiny Barrel Cactus (Ferocactus cylindraceus) for lunch (see at the middle and end of the video) After trying 3 barrels, tossing one so-so barrel down the mountain, this ram finds a juicy Barrel Cactus to ram open with his horns. Notice him spitting out the spines like they are toothpicks.

Not just desert animals. Goats and sheep in general eat thorns like they’re nothing. I watched a few goats clear out a giant briar patch in half an hour. Blood was dripping and they didn’t miss a beat!
