Thanks for the review. I really have trouble seeing these as useful for any context at this price point. It's almost begging the question of just because it can be built, should it?

Hi. Thank you for the review. Can the all-in-one desktop version be used as a second monitor with a laptop? The price difference between this and the monitor version is very small that it could be worth having both options if possible

You know, I never tried that out, so I can't be completely sure. But I don't know why the computer would have an HDMI cable, etc. if not to receive a signal from another source. I would be surprised if you could not connect your laptop and display it on this monitor.
