Grew up about 30 miles from his hometown in eastern Kentucky, singing while working and drinkin' to his songs in the early 70's. The very best!

Such a very talented artist and so sad we lost him so soon! My sister & I got to meet him and go behind the stage many times when he did gigs in and around Houston, Texas and he always remembered us and he was so so cordial and visited with us. I try to remember the better times when we saw him but it's such a shame what addiction did to him and it was so evident in the last few years that we saw him. I so miss him! God Bless Gary Stewart!
