We drive through Texas and experience almost every kind of weather you can expect...except for snow! Thank goodness for that!
We are not Snow Birds but we do like nice warm weather and heading west is the best.
Come join our Facebook Group, Big Truck Big Travels to get more details on our travels such as Alaska itinerary, annual costs and such.

RV Camping
We like to "Switch it Up" between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.
We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to KZbin channels Suite Travels, Switch it Up and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks (Happilyeverhanks) #thankshanks and believe it or not, I actually learned something from MRBeast Mr Beast video's as well.
Our journey is the destination. We want to share in our experiences in our discovery of What's Next.
I get my music from:
Epidemicsound.com
Amazon Shop (no extra charge to you)
A convenient way to see (or buy) the items you see in the video's which may help in your adventure.
www.amazon.com...
We use the TSD card for diesel fuel and save a bundle each time we fill up our Big Rig. We also use it to fill up our Onan generator.
The big blue boards (XL version) we use sometimes to get us "un-stuck" is from:
Gotreads.com
Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it's boondocking capabilities.
Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.
Vehicles:
2016 Volvo VNL780 "Voyager"
2016 Smart fortwo "Pathfinder"
2019 SpaceCraft Custom built semi-trailer 5th wheel "Orion"
2023 Thor Magnitude XG32 Class C "Curiosity"
2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara "Artemis"
Power system:
3250 watts of solar with Panasonic panels
30.1 KWH of Lithium batteries
2- 4K watt Magnum Inverters deliver power as if we are on shore power
2- 4K watt 240v Cotek Inverters deliver additional power for our LG Mini split HVAC and stove
Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don't use them too often. LOL
We are not sponsored by Whataburger but I do enjoy them anytime I can get my hands on one. They used to be just out of Texas but they have expanded.
BIg Truck Big Travels video's are based on our personal experience and not meant nor portrayed as experts in anything we do or say. It's our life on the road and our opinions are not meant to be construed as advice. Enjoy life on the road.

It’s not often you see someone with enough Fresh water hose get water from the next state. The most organised RVs we have ever seen. We are so pleased to see your channel grow so much since we started watching you all the way from Tasmania before your Alaskan travels. It’s a direct result of your quality video production and commentary. Not to mention some bad jokes along the way. Always looking forward to your next one, every Friday down here.

Being from West Texas, i can help you with the white pickup enigma. It gets very hot in the summer time. A white pickup is not as hot in the extreme heat. Also a lot of the big oil companies buy fleets of pick ups. Usually all in one color, white.

Thanks, Debbie. We figured that was the reason but it's just so weird to see SOOO many in the area. But it makes sense since it's all about the oil in West Texas. Appreciate your comment and clarifying that for us.

I watch religiously. Something that bothered me was a video a month ago when you got the truck stuck in a soft spot. He got so irritated and yelled. She was yelled at and i coukd see she was super uncomfortable. I totally get we are all human and sh*t goes bad. I've seen sooo many videos and I love watching you both and honestly, I love the way his kindness is and the way he talks. I'm 48 and y'all seen like mom and dad and that comfort, I guess. So when he snapped off, it really threw me back. Every video I've watched since then, I think of that. I think to myself, "Is that him?", but I see him in all the other videos. U both seen like so chill and just easy going and thats what drew me to your channel and why I kept watching. So when I seen him snap off, I think it was just so unexpected and I seen some other side of someone i didn't expect. I wanted to ground him and make him stand in the corner (lololol). I just had to finally get that off my chest. Don't block me, because I do enjoy watching and I envy the life you both have. It's a life I can only hope to have because well....I'm just a waste of space. I'm no person to ever judge - more so on edge with life and maybe because of how life has treated me. You both have brought positive in my brain. I'll be here as long as you are and as long as you'll have me. I don't know what y'all used to do for work, but its gotta be expensive to travel like u do. One day I want that. Xo ~Brooklyn

Thank you very much for your time watching the channel. It was frustrating to get stuck because the truck did not perform as it was supposed to. We spent a lot of money to fix it, and it seemed like it was a waste. We may have not set the traction correctly after watching the video. It's all good, we'll get it corrected. Appreciate your comments. Glad you're along on the journey.

Great observation and question, Kim! We use the aluminum steps if we are overnighting in a "tight" space or don't want to appear as if we have "moved in" to an area. The black steps with pull out from the trailer we use at campgrounds or Harvest Host sites where we have more room.

Here's a couple questions: 1) How many stops have you come across where you both were able to get your fixes -Whataburger and Chester's Chicken - simultaneously? 2) If and when that happened, did each of you buy at your respective spots, or do you flip heads or tails on whose spot wins?

I have a question since I saw Sandra backing the truck in to the RV. Does Sandra have a CDL? Since it’s a personal truck do you need a CdL. Silly question since I have a Class A myself but never looked in to the laws for personal use. Anyways I’m new and omg I love watching you travel. I started on the rocky point camp video.
@bigtruckbigtravels

Thanks, Juan. Great question. We don't need a CDL to drive the truck. It's registered as personal and Texas only requires a Class A non-commercial endorsement on the license.

Mexican vehicle permits. Your motor home is unique. Therefore you need to be in contact contact with the director of a principal customs office to get a personal reveiw and approval. Then underling officials will fall in line. Example : park in Laredo, tx, drive the car across bridge 2 to the main customs office, talk to the top director with all of your documents including your noncommercial registration and interior/exterior fotos in hand.

I’ve asked before. Where are your a/c units. I don’t see them. Or do you not have a/c?
@bigtruckbigtravels
@bigtruckbigtravels 5 ай бұрын
Oh... we definitely have A/C! They are mini-split systems which are extremely efficient. Our compressor is on the drivers side front. Our air is distributed via two ceiling cassettes at each end on the trailer. They are boxed in on the roof so they don't appear as regular RV a/c units. It's a 36K btu system.

I love all the wildflower footage. "He who has a watch knows the time, but he who has two watches, does not know the time." Having two GPS devices can be just as confusing. We can't always trust our GPS either. We've been in that area of Texas. When I saw Wills Point, I knew where you were. We stayed in the Thousand Trails park in Lake Tawakoni. It's really pretty there, but we have a membership, so it doesn't cost us anything nightly to stay. I enjoy your videos. Congratulations on your milestone for subscribers!
