In this video I replace my faulty front left ABS sensor with a dirt cheap EBay sensor I purchased for £9.99 delivered.

Comprehensive, clear and to the point. A great video. Thanks. I’ll give it a go because I have exactly the same problem. It’s probably one of those situations where a code reader is helpful, both in diagnosing the exact faulty sensor and removing the error code. I’m now a subscriber.

I'm about to tackle the same job on my 2002 XC70 D5. Bought the sensor but when I went to remove the old one there's no head on the bolt!!! SO will buy some magic metal putty stuff to hold the new one there. haha.

From what I have gleaned on the net if your Volvo has a p2 chassis / platform the years 2000-2007 will be applicable. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_P2_platform

on a 2008 v70 you can't see reluctor ring from behind the wheel :(
