Beautiful bike!!! Do you think it is a beginner friendly as a first bike!? I am 1,82cm high with 100kg weight looking passing from maxi scooters to proper motorcycles. Thanx and regards from far away Serbia 🇷🇸✌️

I have to offer you an apology and explanation. I have two channels my oldest and first one was the Justdad channel. We talked about this question on the Justdad channel a few days ago. The explanation is I started this channel (Flat Cap Cafe Racer) a couple years ago because I had so much copy righted material on the Justdad channel to ever be monetized So I started this new channel and I take some of my vids from this channel after few weeks on this channel and move them to the Justdad channel for the subscribers there. I explained that a couple years ago, sorry for the confusion.

I've read the Tiger 660 can throw a lot of heat on the rider. Did you experience that?
@flatcapcaferacer
@flatcapcaferacer Жыл бұрын
Mark I didn't notice the heat on the Tiger 660. I went on my test ride pretty early and it was not hot yet. I think most watercooled bikes will kick out noticeable heat in traffic when the fan kicks on. If I get a chance I'll take a short test ride in traffic with jeans so I should be able to notice the heat.

Nice review. Good that you include relevant information that others seems to miss out. Interesting to know that the engine is similar to the old 800..... smooth but a bit buzzy around 5500rpm. My 800 used to give me white finger for that very reason, which is why I like the lower frequency vibrations on the 900 more. Look forward to more reviews.

I appreciate the comments and information on the 800. I believe I'd hear the 660 up a bit, get a cramp buster and just have a good time. Taking the bike back this morning 😞

Great review on the 660 (IMO, it's a great machine, kind of regardless of its low cost). Also, someone told me "This is a bike that everyone thinks they don't need".

Good review. You almost sold it to me & I'm not keen on large (ish) sports tourers

The 660 is about 40 to 50 pounds lighter than my Tiger 900. Who knows you may have a choice by the time you get here.😁😁😁

Nice review. I'm not currently in the market for a bike of this type as happy with my Kawasaki Z1000SX plus Royal Enfield Himalayan combo... But maybe in the future

I think that red, white and blue BMW R1250 RS has your name on it. I disagree on Teapotone's thinking about the RS. I understand the love for the GS's but sometimes love is blind.😄

Great review. Well priced, good looking. Carol sat on one wondering if it would be a more practical bike for touring compared to her Street Triple. At 5ft 7 she felt the stock set up was too tall for her. If Triumph slipped the 765 motor in it then I would be interested myself.
@flatcapcaferacer
@flatcapcaferacer Жыл бұрын
I'm an old 5'8 and I have probably shrunk a bit over seven decades and think with Carol's riding experience this bike would be great. I think your main issue Richard is you are normalized to the power of the MT-10 and that will be hard to match up the power with ergonomics with 90% of newer releases out there.

Great review. I’m in the market for a TS 660. This ride looks beautiful. Where in Idaho is this?

Watching this ride from behind FCCR I was impressed with how well the bike handled and soaked up the abrupt bumps in the curves. Power seem pretty good too. I had to twist the grip pretty hard to stay ahead on my 900.

I think the Sport 660 would have an edge in the quarter mile but probably not once the speed gets above 75 mph.

Good review! I do like that bike a lot. Currently I own a 2020 t120 and a 2022 Tiger 850 Sport. FYI my 850 with the stock seat in the low position is 815 mm. At 5'7" with a 30 inch it's perfect for me. Plus it has all the torque of the 900 + or - a couple of ft pounds.

Would you say the Tiger 850 Sport is suitable for a beginner rider? The only bike I have ever ridden is a Kawasaki Z650 which is the bike I learned to ride on. I am debating between the Tiger Sport 660 and the Tiger 850 Sport.
@tedsalmon2533
@tedsalmon2533 Жыл бұрын
The 850 sport is a much larger and more powerful bike for sure but I'm pretty sure that if you handled the z650 the sport will be doable.@@razvantarus1435
@flatcapcaferacer
@flatcapcaferacer Жыл бұрын
I guess it would depend on what kind of riding you intend to do. The 850 is bigger physically and requires more effort moving around in the garage and tight places . The 850 is definitely more comfortable for touring and two up, however the 660 Sport with bags would be great for one up rides. I'd generally would say the 660 Tiger Sport would be a better for newish rider, I'm fact I'm seriously looking at purchasing a 660 Tiger Sport myself. A lovely machine.

@flatcapcaferacer . I commute 30 miles each way to work. In addition I want to do light touring (200 - 250 miles/day) with my wife on the weekend. I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs so the size of the 850 doesn't scare me. My main concern is jump in power and torque from the small Kawasaki I am learning to ride on.

Thanks for the insightful review of this machine, the fact you aim to have one on your garage soon speaks volumes. I was rather hoping Triumph would upgrade it's big brother the 1050 Sport but then perhaps the Tiger 900 wouldn't have sold so well. I like the looks of the new Scrambler 400X, I've provisionally booked one although they won't take orders until September.

Thanks Michael. I think it was 2010 when I had a 1050 Tiger. The new 400s look great, I'll have to wait until you ride one to find out if they are as good as they look .
