Right idea,half executed Moto Guzzi....jealous of your weather, Scotland has the scenery and roads,but the cold and the wet!

In a sense, every Moto Guzzi is limited edition. Especially in North America.

Does any heat come off that high pipe and roast your leg, especially at a stop? I don't need the clearance of a high pipe, but I like the look, especially of that Arrow. I've got 3 Ducatis already, so the Duc scrambler doesn't interest me. Thanks!

There's minimal heat - but I typically wear motorcycle jeans and not regular denim. It's a great looking bike!

I enjoyed this video, thanks for making it! I have a V9 Bobber myself and love it. As for the Stornello, yes it is odd that the bike doesn't have a skid plate and that the engine hangs so low. Anyway, could you do a review on your backpack? I've been looking at getting it for myself, it's the Velomacchi roll-top right?
@Bikeurious
@Bikeurious 7 жыл бұрын
Jeff, thanks for the comment! Realistically, I won't have a video review of the backpack up anytime soon. But here are two written reviews that will hopefully give you all the information you need: www.bike-urious.com/first-look-velomacchi-speedway-roll-top-backpack/ www.bike-urious.com/long-term-review-velomacchi-speedway-roll-top-backpack/ Let me know if you have any questions! I actually just got an updated version (28L) that addresses some of my complaints, and I'll update the review with those thoughts soon.

The Stornello is just another Street Scramber. It is not really an off road bike. It probably has the same suspension as the V7 Stone. Put some knobbies on the Stone and you can go anywhere the Stornello can go. Heck, my '78 Honda 550 four SS could go anywhere these modern street scramblers go.

great video with cool music! compared to the scout which bike is more comfortable after riding an hour? I ride a honda crf250l in Chiang Mai, but will move to the states and buy a bike in a few months. Trying to decide between scout sixty, v7 stone ii, or harley roadster. thanks and take it easy.
@Bikeurious
@Bikeurious 7 жыл бұрын
The Stornello is definitely much more comfortable. By the time you move here, the V7 Stone III should be out. I'd ignore the Harley, test ride the other two, and see what calls out to you more. They're different enough that I'd be hard pressed to recommend one over the other without knowing what your riding style is like, and if you maintain your own bikes or not. Guzzi dealers/mechanics can be hard to find, depending on where you'll be moving to.

Hey! I m torn between a 2016 triumph scrambler and the stornello. What's your opinion between the two?
@Bikeurious
@Bikeurious 7 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to try the new Scrambler yet. But I just spent a week with a couple of journalists that were on that launch, and based on their impressions I'd suggest the Scrambler. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

I have a Scrambler and it's fantastic. I really want this bike too. I haven't ridden it, but from reviews it sounds fun but less power and a little bouncier. The Scrambler is a fantastic around town bike, carves the twisties better than a sportbike IMO, and can handle some off road too. If you want more sporty and fast, then the Ducati, if you want something more unique and casual with heaps of character then I'd get the Guzzi

So, how does one go about getting a bike to borrow to shoot a video? The local Harley shop is the only one that will let you take a bike and truly test ride it. The BMW shop does the 3 right turns and back to the shop.

I'd say it's fine (unless you're trying to stand up when you're off-road). I'm 6'2" and did not have a problem with it. Helmet is a Shark Vancore.

That bike will be worth $$$ down the road. Only 300 imported into USA
@Dave-sw2dm
@Dave-sw2dm 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's why there are still new unsold ones at dealerships. It will only be worth $$$ 50 years from now and only if people want to own a moto guzzi. I have a 2010 V7 Café Classic which was a one year bike in the states. When I bought it used with 700 miles on it the NADA was $6000. Now the NADA is $3490, and I have 1700 miles on it. New it was $9000 plus fees. I would still by a Stornello if I had the cash laying around because I think it is a cool bike. The V7s are beginner bikes in the minds of collectors. The bikes worth money are the race bikes Guzzi used to put out.

There’s one in my local Yammie dealer. 2016, 1500 miles. £5300. That’s about $7000.

There are better options, of course, but this is VERY easy to ride and I think it would be an appropriate choice for a first time rider.
