The way Bill giggled when he ate the strawberry made me think; can you just imagine the giggling that came from his bedroom when he and Frank first had sex. 😜😘🥰 Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe

This came across my feed 5mo later but Offerman fans know there's an Offerman giggle and it was great to get it into the show.

I came across this video a bit late but I always love seeing reactions to this absolutely beautiful episode! It’s honestly a TV masterpiece, I don't know when the last time was that a piece of media got me to care about characters so strongly in such short amount of time. Also, as someone with a hearing disorder, thank you so much for including captioning 😊

Having Bill die with Frank is worth missing out on the game interaction with Ellie IMO because it transforms Bill from a cautionary example to an aspirational one. But Joel will take the wrong lesson and frame himself as a failed protector.

Me right up until the moment they kissed: "Don't trust him Bill! He's going to try to kill you!* You the instant you heard voices in Bill's house: eager voice "Frank? Is it Frank? Come here Frank!"🤣🤣 This was the best love story I've ever seen❤

Same! I think some of us have Walking Dead-induced entertainment PTSD... 😂 I'm a gamer and zombie story aficionado but I never played this one, so I had no idea what was coming. I kept babbling out loud to my partner, like, "I know he's probably going to turn out to be bad, but... I hope maybe he's gay and it's a romance? Maybe?" But I didn't really believe myself. That kiss had me shrieking! Such a romantic rollercoaster of a story.

I know this is late, but I just wanted to say: BIll probably didn't connect much with people in his town because of his difference, so Frank was probably the first person he ever really connected with (it was probably the "no, you do" (seem like the type) comment. Frank understood who he was (gay or not, someone who cared about food, etc.), and accepted everything that meant about Bill. I'm an old (probably Bill and Frank contemporary, perhaps a bit younger, because i don't associate the 80's with danger) woman, but I got both of them so much. Maybe it's generational, or maybe because my husband's a bit gruff and reminds me a bit of Bill (not a survivalist, just gruffish), but I loved this episode. A lot of closed-minded people thought this episode was only popular with the 'lib'rals' because they were gay, but you know what? this story would be beautiful and heartbreaking no matter the gender of the couple. If you had a story about a survivalist woman who falls for a man who fell into one of her traps, I would live it just as much, because it was a real story about real people with real issues. Aging sucks, and it must suck so much worse when you don't have doctors who accept your insurance and can cure you. Watching the love of your life deteriorate, and being helpless because you don't have the resources, or medical facilities, and you made active choices to keep yourself apart from communities that DID have those things? But in the end, they both had arguably a better life than anyone in the FEDRA communities had, because they had no rules, they had beauty, and they only answered to themselves. TLDR: This episode rocked, even if you're an old married AARP member, and never let anyone tell you different.

Since they released the script, we know that Bill is 55 at the Outbreak and Frank is early 50s when they meet 4 years later. So in the end they're 75 and late 60s. Probably impressive for this world. Bill would then have been 32 in 1980 for the context you raise.

I’m doing a combined reaction for episodes 19x1 to 19x6-before the mid-season primiere. I know I’ve been slacking with Grey’s, but whenever I do post this video, it’s going to be a long-ass video 😄

The reason Bill had to play the song is that Frank's interpretation was the opposite of the song's meaning. You cannot perform "Long, Long Time" jauntily.
