I lived through remy and orsello and think dave obrien does fine...the rotating thing theyre doing this season with the color spot is a bit odd but I think its brought out daves funnier side. I find him very enjoyable

@@austinsmith7731 O'Brien is competent and knowledgeable, but so was Orsillo. The difference is in the moss. Orsillo had a giddy report with Remy and the result was Kismet. With O'Brien you have no loose crowns, no unmentionable touches, no air guitars, no giant hats, no lamp gifts, no Terry Francona muggings and no PIZZAGATE! Some people like the merry-go-round; I like the roller coaster. You get more out of it.

@@lightninlarry8936 Orsillo is a likable guy, who does his job AND likes to have fun, even get silly over the goings on at a baseball park. Let's face it, after thousands of games, things can get pretty repetitive, dull, routine and just flat out boring. Have you ever listened to Kirk Gibson calling games for the Tigers? He's like listening to Ben Stein as the teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off; pure monotony. Don always had a twinkle in his eye and his voice calling those Sox games all those years. But the rapport he had with Jerry Remy was such a joy. With the brutal history of the RedSox franchise until '04, having that Remy-Orsillo levity was truly a godsend. I just don't think NESN or Sox ownership gave a damn what the fans wanted. They dumped him like a wet bag of dirty laundry and it was really a shame. Our loss, your gain...
